Honest Review on Laser
ORIGINAL POST
So your cruising along thru life and then you hit...
so your cruising along thru life and then you hit that age where you start to see some aging , in some cases a few of us have some accelerated areas because of some careless habits when we were younger.
in my case it was running a landscape business and not wearing sunscreen for 25 years. ( I am 45 year old male ) so you check into your local skin and health practice in your town for a possible improvement of accelerated aging.
my licensed doctor who also is a plastic surgeon with a 4.5 star rating in his practice highly recommended doing a co2 laser treatment for my accelerated deep neck wrinkles.
so I have had 2 treatments done on my neck specifically and one treatment on my arms and hands.
I am about 4 months into the healing process of the second treatment. at this point I am unsure of the benefits. I am being told and constantly read that you must give it the time for its full benefits which is 6 to 12 months.
The issue now is some of the negative reviews that you read on this sight and one can't help have these comments mess with your head. which is why I am writing this.
so if you go to the true facts and really read the true literature about lasers all the reviews say nothing but great benefits from lasers. you will also not find a qualified doctor on google or this real self web site that does not highly recommend laser treatments for various different issues plus not to mention the hundreds of happy positive reviews about there laser treatments on this site..
now..I am not saying that some people have not had a non-doctor or health spa or someone not qualified to operate a laser that have possibly caused burning and or a hyper pigmentation reaction that many hear talk about as I do believe thats possible. another fact is also reading that lasers 5 plus years ago are not like the lasers today and the older ones really put out to much heat and did have some bad reactions.
so all this being said and the main reason for this review is I think we all should be CAREFUL of what we write. I have read many other individuals who also have this same phyc going on in there heads about laser that can't simply be true.. ask any qualified doctor in this field and they all say its simply physically impossible for some of the damage that people claim to have had from lasers. I think its easy to have overly high expectations with these treatments and when people do not see improvement that they want or not giving the procedure the recommended time or it simply didn't improve your issue that you had the treatment for is when the bad reviews start popping up. its human nature to blame something when it did not give the results that were expected. I do hope this review helps others that are considering laser treatments and have had past laser treatments to follow proven facts and professional
advice that simply are real possibilities from experienced qualified doctor offices that give there recommendations on proven physical results and facts.

Dr. Rian Maercks that "Devices that use Radiofrequency and Ultrasound energy ( Thermage, Refirme and Ultherapy), seem to appear and disappear with an incredible frequency. Dr. Maercks does not recommend using these techniques on or near the face and recommends extreme caution elsewhere in the body. Unfortunately deep heating of the face reduces facial fat (required for a youthful appearance) and produces abnormal deep scarring, what industry leaders want you to believe is ‘healthy collagen production). The biggest problem with deep heating of facial tissues is that it causes a relatively uncontrolled concentric contraction of the deep facial tissues. From a plastic surgeons perspective, this is a recipe for disastrous aesthetic consequences. These modalities are commonly used by practitioners outside the field of plastic surgery who focus largely on the cheek area. What results is irregular scar build up(called ‘collagen production by manufacturers), and because of the concentric contraction, problems can occur with eyelid distortion and malfunction, irregular and unnatural mouth appearance and ablation of the natural concavities and convexities that make the human face attractive. The lines of tension in a natural beautiful face are different throughout the face and are the focal point of a beautiful facelift. Even more unfortunate is the fact that most of these results occur months to a year after the procedure. The time lag and severity of problems leads patients to seek a different practioner for correction and the well-meaning original practitioners never learn of these consequences they have produced. Dr. Maercks has seen many of these consequences and has tackled the difficult correction with fat transfer, facelift and other procedures. For these reasons Dr. Maercks focuses on controllable modalities with limited complication profiles."
