Since a teenager I have always felt insecure about my small breast size and asymmetry and always wanted to one day have breast implants to give me natural looking cleavage so that I could wear tops and bikinis without feeling self conscious of my body.
At the age of 26 I finally decided to take the plunge and go ahead and do something for my self.. and so my hunt for the perfect surgeon begun. As a nurse, I really wanted to make sure I researched various surgeons and took about 6 months finding someone who I felt comfortable and confident with. From my initial emails and calls with Body Recon I always felt they were very professional and always helpful with answering my numerous questions. After meeting Richard, I felt sure of my decision to go ahead with breast augmentation and felt so at ease during my appointment. There was no pressure to book in for surgery straight away, in fact Richard encouraged me to take some time and think about my decision. Given his experience and professionalism I was sure he was the right surgeon for me, and I was booked in with a wait time of around 6 weeks. Due to my asymmetry I Richard recommended 300cc on the left and 275cc on the right which would be placed above the muscle, as I had enough breast tissue to still give me a natural look would speed up recovery time, and was also the better option for me given my active lifestyle.
I was so thrilled and nervous that I had finally made the decision to go ahead with my surgery. On the day of the surgery, all the staff at St John of God Surgery Centre in Geelong were excellent and they definitely put my nerves at ease. Before I knew it, I was waking up from surgery and to my surprise had very little pain. Later than afternoon I was discharged home back to the hotel (Richard recommended staying close by as I had a follow up appt early the next day) The first night was definitely the hardest purely as I don't usually sleep on my back, but had been given strong pain relief to take home if needed - which I took only for the first day or two and felt I did not need this anymore.
The journey since my surgery has been smooth without complication. The regular aftercare and followup that I have received over the last year has been to the highest standard, it truly shows how much they care about their clients. I was also given laser treatment for the incision scars at no extra service - which my scars were minimal anyway.
Having breast augmentation has definitely been one of the best choices I have ever made for myself. I am so happy with my results and feel so a lot more self confidence. My results are natural and exactly what I am after, unless I tell people I have had breast surgery - no one knows my boobies are fake!
