4 Months Post Op Sleeve
WORTH IT
Here are my 4 month post op photos. I had lost about 3.5 stone at this point.
The first few weeks recovery was tough.
2 weeks liquid food stage. I mostly had protein shakes, soups and protein water. In the early stages it's important to eat plenty of protein.
The first two weeks can be very emotional. I cried a lot and wondered what I had "done this to myself". I used to wish I had just been strict and gone to the gym and ate healthier BUT I was never able to stick to it.
A gastric sleeve is definitely not "an easy way out". It is a complete lifestyle change and I had to learn what I could and couldn't eat.
Seeing the weight loss felt amazing.

Pre-Surgery Photos
After some research and following a few accounts of other people who have had a gastric sleeve, I decided to book my surgery through a company called Booking surgery.com.
They are based in Turkey. I heard some negative comments about getting surgery in Turkey but I don't have any regrets.
They quoted me a very good price and were able to book me in within the month.
I booked my flight and I was allowed to take a chaperone with me who was also allowed to sleep in my hospital room with me.
I was there for 4 nights for recovery.

I'm Losing It! Gastric Sleeve Surgery
I am starting this review 1 year post-op.
During the COVID pandemic I gained a lot of weight and became obese (120kg).
This was mainly down to not working, no exercise and binge eating because of mental health problems.
I gained the weight very quickly and noticed negative changes to my body- breathlessness, knee pain, snoring in bed and low mood.
Along with the symptoms I also hated my body and would not look in a mirror or pose for photos.
I hit 120kg (264lb) and I decided ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! This weight had to go!
I have been an on/off Dieter forever and I knew I needed surgery to help me as I was struggling to help myself.
This is a review of my experience over the last year.
