RNY with Dr. Gregory Dakin at Weill-Cornell

WORTH IT
Surgery with Dr. Gregory Dakin and Weill-Cornell could not have gone any better. At 10 months post op, I’m down 110 pounds and 17 pounds from my goal weight, 10 pounds from a normal BMI. Thus far, I haven’t had any real complications. Initial recovery is difficult but I turned the corner at around 4 months post op and started eating more and going to the gym.
Liz is a phenomenal nutritionist and strict! Very knowledgeable about what we should put into our bodies for the most effective results and maintenance post op.
In all, I would highly recommend this group to anyone seeking Bariatric surgery.

One year post op

Had my one year follow up and all is going quite well Bariatric wise. I do have a small umbilical hernia that was there preop but has since gotten bigger and causing discomfort. Luckily, Dr. Dakin is also able to take care of this as well. Otherwise, I’ve lost 126 pounds and feel better now than I have ever felt in years, maybe ever!
I honestly do not regret having the RNY and would do it again if I had to. My only regret is not having it done sooner.
