I have been wanting a tummy tuck for a few years, since I found out liposuction wouldn't get rid of the abdominal flab from having 3 kids. I am 5'3 and I weigh 137 pounds. I'm happy with my curves, meaning my size D boobs, my hips and my butt but my abdomen is hindering my confidence. I want to be sexy!

I'm so excited for my surgery, as if I was going...
I'm so excited for my surgery, as if I was going in vacation or getting a new car. I got my preop packet today and my appointment is on march 6ty Witt surgery being march 13. I haven't told anyone that I'm getting it fine yet besides my husband, I guess I don't want to hear any negativity before the procedure since I feel so good about it right now. Has anyone else felt that keeping it to yourself is the best way? After the surgery I plan to tell my closest friends but that's probably it, I don't feel it's anyone else's business. I'm not great at keeping a secret so I'll probably confide in a good friend that I know will only give me words of encouragement. I'm super excited and have been looking at people's stories daily, it really really helps!

i am also keeping my surgery to myself and my immediate family only. I am actually thinking of a cover story for everyone else...my surgery is on march 12th. I am really excited but so scared that something will go wrong...good luck to you.

It was hard to keep it from co-workers. They were wondering why i took off 3 wks from work and so i told them i was getting hernia repair and a lipo. I told them that if i was getting a hernia repair i might as well suck the fat. They don't know am getting a TT. My husband is supportive and thats all that matters. But u are right ppl can be negative

That's interesting that you say that because that's what I was going to tell people, I got a hernia repair, which isn't a lie but it's just not divulging all the details. I did manage to tell my closest friend and she was very supportive so that was encouraging. I figure I will tell my closest friends if it comes up...hopefully once I'm able to get into that bikini I haven't been able to wear since I was 20 :-)

Ok, I had my preop today and it went well. I got a prescription for pain meds and something for nausea. I don't have to be on a clear liquid diet the day before surgery but I can't eat after midnight. They drew blood and instructed me to shower with antibacterial soap the day before, not to wear perfume, lotion, makeup or jewelry. He said I will go home the first day with a urinary catheter that will be removed at my follow up visit 1 day post op. I ordered a bunch of stuff on amazon as it had no tax and free shipping such as Arnica, Bromelain, gauze, heating pad, stool softners, puppy pads, arnica cream, and antibacterial ointment ( just in case). I have a recliner and my husband went with me to my appointment because I'm not sure he knew what he was getting into. By reading everyone else's story I feel like a tummy tuck expert... Thanks everybody. The countdown begins, even downloaded an app like I saw in someone else's page. 6 days 14 hours and 28 minutes to go. YAY!!
