WORTH IT$5,000
I decided to get Damon braces since I wanted quicker results. Maybe getting married soon so I want perfect teeth for that special day! I am so excited! Paying $170ish each month for 2 years. Gave a $595 down payment. Little sisters go here for dentists appointments and my mom asked about braces for me. They immediately scheduled a free first appointment with their orthdontists. I got X-rays and they explained all my choices. The orthodontist was very nice and very knowledgable. He immediately noticed the jaw problem I've been trying to tell me mom I have. (My jaw is dislocated) He explained that surgery is an option but he first wants to try braces. Apparently surgery doesn't always permanently fixes the kind of problem I have and it would be expensive. He also gave me a lecture about chewing gum. (Guilty) I stopped chewing gum after that. He noticed that my wisdom teeth were showing, but he said that extracting them wasn't necessary. They recommended The Damon System since it was faster and less painful. Might have them on for 1 1/2 years. They gave me a list of choices with prices and told me they would honor them if I came back in six months. I called a week ago telling them I was ready and they immediately scheduled a second appointment! I honestly thought we were just signing papers, but thankfully I walked out with braces too! Before I got them on, they took pictures and another X-ray. I also got reminded to stop chewing gum since I have a jaw dislocation. (She had read my files) Haha.

Omg! I can definitely see changes! I have been grinding my teeth lately... I thought it was from my teeth moving. Orthodontist seem concerned and explained that teeth grinding is caused by stress. (Recently married and in college... Hmm) I have also been using rubber bands for about 7 weeks now. (Using the "Ram" kind now) on my last appointment they took off the power chain that they had applied. They need my canine to move back so my smile is even. (This is why I am currently using rubber bands) they warned me that I would probably start noticing gaps because of this, but to not worry since they will close them. :) There's days that I do feel some pressure, and days that I forget that I have braces. Can't wait for the final results!
I'm so glad you had a good experience, and that's too funny (and a little scary, ahem) about the gum chewing. You have a great smile already so I can't wait to see the results. What was the application of the Damon braces like?
