Been over 6 months since had prp with acell in frontal area with Dr Prasad in Gardencity NY and no hair growth at all. Very Disapointing since he and his staff touted a 99 percent success rate. Looks like a complete waste of 3500 bucks. No more hair and not thicker then 6 Moths ago. Swore up and down I would get good results but no hair growth and not thicker at all.

I'm with you, big waste of money and so painful. I will wear a wig before going through that torture again. I am our $4000.00 between 2 treatments and vitamins. So disappointed!

I too had the procedure done and it cost me $4500 dollars and now 10 months later no growth at all. I heard the same thing as everyone you 99% success rate. Very unscrupulous of him!

I am shocked cause they never told me 99% rate. It takes at least 10 months to see a difference, and It worked for me. Sorry it did not work for you.

I have never heard about having just one PRP treatment. Most medical practices tell you that it's a series of 4-6 treatments 1 month apart. I have had 4 treatments and am definitely seeing results. I am going for 2 more and then 2 times a year maintenance. In the Bay Area of California each treatment costs between $600 and $750 depending on the doctor.

Omg!!! I’m screaming here! PRP has worked for you? How thin was your hair when you started? I mean, was your hair loss recent? I read reviews that it mainly works for those with new or recent hair loss. I was going to pay the 3,500 as well for that New York dr, I just feel so confused! I pray you contact me back, I need more information, please!!!

it is a risk , a gamble. it you can spend that kind of money give it a go. Unfortunately , after all these years Finasteride and Minoxidil are the only treatments that are effective (results vary from person to person)

sorry for your loss, no pun intended. i did view his website and noted that the main before-after photo doesn't show much new growth, just some dude who didn't get a haircut for 5 months. plus all his nonsense about Tokyo and vitamin D. thanks for removing him from my list. fyi finasteride really does stop hair loss + hair follicle transplants work, i have a buddy in Canada who looks amazing after 1 long session.

this is correct his before and after pictures are very misleading... In some cases the before pictures are when the hair is wet!!!

His 99 percent success rate is something along the lines of 'if your hair looks healthier afterwards, that's success'. Totally disregards the reason you paid him in the first place - to regrow and thicken receeding hair!
