This was before I ever allowed Dr Sadati to touch me. I wish I had never met him. I was a pretty girl with an imperfect nose, but it was far better than what he gave me.

I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and I'm very sorry for it. I too am having a similar experience on the east coast. I've decided to seek medical care and expert opinion outside of the original surgeon, because much like yours direct honest communication has been seriously lacking. Not only did my nose not improve in appearance I am now having breathing difficulties on my left side. I've been having them since the 2 month, but they have become terrible for the same reasons, night waking andnthe addition of migraines. Don't be so hard on yourself about deciding to trust someone. Honest people generally don't live in doubt and fear of another persons word unless they have been burned. In the end, you can rest your pillow at night and know you are good person and I'm not sure your surgeon has the same experience. You are still beautiful and on a better note I can't wait to see the outcome of your revision.

Yeah it looks great, but def not worth all the suffering. I'm going through the same myself, and it has changed my whole life and health.

I had septoplasty/Rhinoplasty less than a year ago. My septoplasty was a complete reconstruction and the rhinoplasty was supposed to be a minimal rasping for a small bony formation on one side of the dorsum. Well, from the moment my cast was removed I had a rather large dorsal hump and a much wider bridge and moderate nostril asymmetry on one side. My surgeon blamed all of it on swelling and I remained calm, because who know that wasn't true. Well, my nose is just barely diagonal now, but the other asthetic issues remain. I know that sounds bad, but fast forward to the 4 month mark and as the swelling subsided I could see my septum coming out of my left nostril and am unable to breath through that side. I'm on a daily Advil regimen for headaches. And as of the last week I have a mild black eye on the left side as well.

My surgeon is dishonest and unaccountable so therefore I'm going to have to seek medical advice and attention from someone else. The big issue is who?

I'm terribly sorry that you are struggling too Jessica. I hope that there is peace and joy for you coming soon.

Hi Fzb,
Thank you for your kindness and words of encouragement. There is definite truth and wisdom to what you reiterated.

My thoughts are with you. I am sincerely sorry for all the pain and suffering you are still dealing with. I can try and consult with people here and try to find out who may be a skilled revision surgeon in your area. What city do you live in?

I'm in Boston. I'm actually finding it very hard to find a doctor in my region, because of either lack of reviews/complaints or mixed information. Did you interview several doctors? I'm planning on asking my primary care doctor for a few names too.
I'm hoping the headaches subside, but if they do that will push me to seek revision. I can't live life with a headache everyday.
I can say I will not be a doormat for this surgeon. At the year mark I plan to review, but furthermore I plan to report her everywhere and possibly seek legal action. I know plastic surgery victims historically lose, because of bias by juries, but I will not allow what happened to be pushed into a dark corner of my surgeons closet of skeletons.
I know that sounds super severe, but if one of her other victims had broadcast their experience I would not have chosen her. On paper my doctor looked stellar. She teaches at Harvard, she works out of our countries top hospital, she's written numerous articles for medical journals, etc. Post surgery I've found patients of hers that are in my boat or much worse. Her reviews appear to be very suspicious. I always find it odd when a bad review is followed in the next few days by 10 reviews that are positive with the same vocabulary. I'm afraid a negative review just won't be enough. Oddly, my surgeon has no reviews on here.

Sorry to heard you are going through this. It's so devastating when you try to fix something and come out feeling/looking worse. I needed my septum straighten. I didn't need cosmetic. My surgeon decided not fix my septum but shaved off my all bridge, cut my base and take my cartilage from my tip. I have had the worse seven months of my life. Feeling like a freak. Septum is still crooked.

Jessica, have you consulted specialists other than your original surgeon? If so who? That is if you don't mind me asking. I'm assuming your procedure was covered by insurance like mine. I had a few other medical procedures performed by an ENT within my sinus cavities in conjunction to the septo/rhino. Those are going very well. One of them was terrifying, because it was a small tumor, but when biopsies turned out to be non cancerous, thank god.
My insurance company will be informed, because I will likely have to get another CT scan and medical treatment. Im wondering how they are going to respond.

I hope you're healing well now.

Your posts truly tugged at my heart ... my condolences for the loss of your husband, and for the disappointment you experienced through your initial surgeries.

I also have to say ... you have the most beautiful eyes! It's not just the amazing colour & beautiful shape ... it's also your depth. You seem like a very warm, kind person ... I hope your outside soon matches your inside! :) Best wishes. xx

My revision was $25K to repair what Dr Kevin Sadati did. In addition to the nose. I had the chin implant that he had inserted taken out as it was too large and off center. This whole experience has been a nightmare to deal with. It's not over. I had may have had my revision, however the healing process is long, painful and difficult.

Did you end up putting the chin implant back in? Or did you decide you didn't need the headache?

I had the chin implant taken out. I should have never had one to begin with. It wasn't needed. While I'm happy with the revision, this whole thing has had a drastic emotional and psychological impact.

Thank you. It was difficult sharing the photos, however I believe people need to be informed. If I can prevent one person from going through what I have been through, then I have done my job.

Hi Again,
I wanted to express how sorry I am for the trauma you have undergone. I feel your pain. I read you only wanted a minor improvement and ended up with an end result you did not opt for. How long ago was your surgery? Have you spoken with any revision surgeons?

Regardless of how things are now, please know that your nose can be repaired.

Thank you so much! Seeing people like you gives me hope. Yes I have talked to dr Shah, dr Hamilton and I'll be seeing dr Ion next month. My surgery was on June last year. It's been almost 8 months, but it feels like yeas. I don't feel like myself, my identity was stolen.

Oh honey......I so relate and am empathetic to what you're feeling. Neither of us signed up for what we received. This whole thing has really messed with my self esteem. So, when you say that you feel that your identity has been stolen I completely understand. Even though I have been fortunate enough to undergo revision surgery, I can't even appreciate my new nose bc I have been psychologically scarred by what the original surgeon did.

You must be in the UK. I have read good things on here about Dr Ion, however I say go with who you feel is skilled and who understands clearly the end result you desire.

My thoughts are with you.

I am looking into this procedure mainly for Functional reasons. This is so scary, as the doctor seems to have overall Good Reviews, how Is one supposed to find a qualified, trusty Doctor... Stressful. I am very glad you are now doing well, but so sorry to hear of pain and expense you went through.

ExplrOptions, I'm in your region and I can't recommend where to go, but I can recommend where I wouldn't go. I wouldn't go to Mass Eye and Ear.

Best advice is take your time and choose who and when once your comfortable. If it's mainly for functional reasons the. You likely have been dealing with symptoms of dysfunction for some time and a bit more time making a sound judgement decision is likely easily doable.

Oh my goodness he had overressected you bridge big time:-o im shocked . Your revision looks so beautiful . Im so sorry that happened to you. I have no idea how these surgeons sleep at night when it's obvious they have made a mistake on someone's nose, but lie to a patients face about it. Why are they such horrible people? Im sorry , but to me that makes them a horrid person .

you are so beautiful. your story makes me heartsick. i really don't understand why when someone needs something so small done like a tiny refinement, they take off the whole front. your revision is on the left? that looks lovely.. or isthat with radiesse??? i'msorry for your pain. i went through it as well. i've had a very nice revision but some aspects could not be rebuilt. wishing you the best. xxxx
