I am sure you are thrilled that you went through with BR, sure you feel and look amazing, and probably think every day, why you waited so long! I am thrilled for you and totally jealous, as I have been thinking about BR for last 30 years! I turned 60 this year, and made up my mind to get it done this march! When were you be able to go back to work? Thanks a million for sharing information! Reading your story helps me feel not too guilty for wanting this done at 60...

I am so happy that I went through with this. I'm a teacher and my surgery was in the summer so I had more time off than I needed. I went back at about 5 weeks. At almost 4 months I'm feeling great! Better at our ages than not at all. Good luck. You will be so happy.

Thank you so much for response and encouragement! I will have to come back to work no later than four weeks... I am an engineer at the nuc plant and will absolutely need to be back within 30 days. Hope I am not overestimateing my ability :-) at 60! Did you have general anastesia or sedation?

You may still be a bit sore at 30 days but I don't think going back to work should be a problem. I had general. No problems. I ,too, thought about this surgery for many years before seriously considering it. In some ways I'm glad I waited. (I'm probably the only one ever to say that.) I think it would have been hard when my kids were younger. Their needs were always first.

I totally can relate! Now, when my daughter is all grown up, and I am the only one who I need to be responsible for (:-)), I feel that I deserved it! While I need to loose these pesky ten pounds, with smaller breasts women look so much yunger and lighter! Again, thank you so very much for sharing, hopefully, in March, I will go through with this! I tend to over analyze everything, sometime right into the ground!... :-)

My surgery is scheduled for Monday, June 23rd. Crazy thoughts are going through my head. I can't believe I'm really doing this. I'm trying to do things that I won't be able to do for a while- swimming, kayaking, tubing down a river, exercising etc. I will miss those and other things I like to do. I have to remind myself that liking to do these things is one of the reasons I'm going through with this. My husband and I hope to retire soon and when we do we plan on spending as much time on our boat as we can. I don't want to have to wear a bra under my swimsuit! Yuck!
I have learned so much from the wonderful ladies on this blog. Thank you all. Wish me luck.
