2nd session with real needles in me pen
WORTH IT$200
Well this time my skin is really reacting and recovering from the needling. I used a 36 needle tip in my Dr Pen at 2.5 and top speed. I really focused on the deep scars. Look at the redness and peeling. Hopefully this means results will follow.

What do you use after treatment for serum
I use 100% pure hyaluronic acid during and after. I also have jojoba oil now. I haven't used this after needling but I use it nightly before bed. I plan to try it in the hours after needling.
Where do you get the hyaluronic acid? I plan on trying tretinoin cream right after too.

It takes a,while for collagen regrowth. . And it recommended to derma roll every 4-6 weeks, with longer needles. Be careful please!
I have slowed it down mostly because of the longer recovery time with the 36-pin needles. However I will say that when I was doing it more often, I did not experience any negative side effects. I think my skin looks better now than it has in years. But I do appreciate your concern - thank you.
I'm very glad :)

36 point needle
Ok this needle is totally different than the nano needle on the Dr Pen. It made me bleed and I really couldn't drag it across my skin at the deeper settings. A haLN hour later my skin is so hot, red, and tight. I'm excited though. I basically used the 2.5 on my acne scars by stamping them with the pen in at the highest speed. I kept my skin drenched in hyaluronic acid the whole treatment as well as after (and I've reapplied it a few more times since). I'll update with pics in a few days.

Hope everything goes well for u!U should think about chemical peelS instead.
What peel do you recommend?
I think start off with a tca peel maybe 15 % for the first month and then go 20% for the next month and don't go any higher than 35%.just do one peel every month for about 6 months. The only sucking thing is u will be down for like7 to ten days after each peel.im no doctor but that's what I would do.U have to be very careful about tca so read and do your homework.
Looking forward to seeing your update! I am starting mine next week.
Awesome. Good luck. I will just say most of the redness was gone within 24 hours for me. I went too close or too deep on one lower eye and its red like a rash but it'll heal. I'm not seeing huge improvement from this particular treatment but I think since I've started my skin is very much improved. I notice my acne scarring most from up close or in certain lighting. I guess that's true for everyone though. But my 12 year old told me I only see your scars up close. Kids
Hi i stamped my acne scars 2.5mm and it made my scars sunken! It was ok when i was in UK but now since i am back to SE Asian country, my skin isn't supple like i used to have in a cold country.
Probably because i did not put enough numbing cream on my face that stamping make my skin pain alot! But i could endure it.

I'm on the fence on on whether to buy the roller or the dr. pen with the needles. You mentioned you didn't see much of a result with Dr pen and the needles but I'm wondering if you feel still feel the same way. Thank you very much for posting this.
If you buy the Dr Pen, buy the other needles. It comes with the nano needles but you want the 36 or 48 needle variety. They sell them on eBay pretty cheap. I have not done much needling lately because I've been busy traveling for work but I'm planning to do it this weekend.
Thank you. I just bought the dr. pen with 36 needles. I've gone to a clinic and had my face micro needled. I've seen great results, but it's getting expensive. I'm so glad I ran across your post.
2.5mm ???

Trying a new technique
I tried a new technique this weekend which was to needle at multiple depths per area. For example, on my cheeks I used 2.5, 1.75, 1, and .5 - it took a long time (and serum) but I think I was much more sore and tight than after a usual needling session. I am needling ~once per 10 days right now. I feel like I see good results. I plan to post a picture of my cheek before the next time I needle.

From what I understand, that is way to often to be "damaging" your skin and does not allow time for it to heal and regenerate collagen! You may be doing more damage than good treating this aggressively, this often! I mean, totally your gig, but do your research!
yeah, I should have updated. With the nano needle, I was healing very quickly. Since I moved to the real needle with the Dr Pen, I have been doing it less often. Partly this is due to me being busy but also because my skin seems to be red still from the last time I did it several weeks ago.
I believe once a month is the protocol

Does the Dr. Pen give any instructions on how often you do this?
When I go to the clinic they suggest I come back every 4 weeks. I have only bought 3 sessions as sometimes they run specials in a three-pack. Then they say to come back every 6 months.
The Dr Pen instructions? I have no clue - I am doing this all DIY and based on the research I've done online. BUT - I can say I am definitely seeing results. My scarring is definitely not as deep on the surface of my skin. However, at my age, other signs of aging are there. We all want perfect skin but unless you are born with the right genes, you are SOL. That's my 2 cents - all you can do is try to maximize what you have.
