12 days post tummy tuck procedure

WORTH IT
12 days post op, am feeling a lot more mobile, haven’t started driving yet, will attempt it tomorrow! My stomach feels swollen like a balloon, very tight sensation around my belly button, very strange feeling. If I walk too much or tidy up etc I get tired very quickly, and my stomach feels like it gets tight and sore. Other than that I’m able to sleep on my side and no longer taking pain meds (since day 9). Stitches coming out on Tuesday, so far I’m still super happy with my results :)

So happy to hear that you are doing much better. I believe that the worst part is over. Thank goodness for you! Even though I am thinking about the end result I am getting very nervous about the entire ordeal. I am 5'6 and weigh 125 pounds. People think I am thin, but because of my stomach I always have felt overweight because of my belly. I know I should not feel this way, but I do and always have. Now at 51, I still have a few good years left so might as well do it right? If you had to do this all over again, would you still do your tummy tuck even though you had to suffer?
Totally, I would definitely do it all over again! Im sure like yourself, people don't think the op is necessary but it restricted me from the clothes I wear, to always feeling self conscious about my belly hanging out / looking pregnant!
The worst is definitely over, every day Im feeling stronger. Im sure you are going to be so happy with your results once you have the procedure, the pain will purely be a distant memory down the line... totally worth it :) I think you should do it, hell I wish my mum would do it and she is 63 years old! Goodluck, when is your procedure?
Thanks for your input and encouraging words. You are absolutely right when people say that you don't need the operation but they don't see you naked every day in the mirror, ha, ha,ha. The surgery is scheduled for December 2, 2020. Tomorrow I am planning to do my labs, chest x ray and possibly visit my doctor for his "Clearance" for surgery. I have been losing sleep over this, but I know it will be so worth it in the end. Take care darling and enjoy your new abs!
Hi I’m 57, 13 days po, best decision I ever made, I’m thrilled. It’s a big op, prepare yourself well and you will be fine. No regrets from me!!
Amazing! So glad to hear your are also happy with your results :) Sure you are looking fabulous already :)
Hey Andybear! Glad to hear you are also doing well. Nice to hear that people on their 50's are still doing this operation and are writing to talk about it, ha, ha, ha! I know that we still have a lot of good years ahead of us. Do you have before and after pics that you wish to share?
Hi if you click on my name above (andybear46) this will take you to my profile where I have uploaded all my pictures. I wish you luck, as has been previously said, you won’t look back, recovery is a little tough but my oh my for sure worth it! I’ll be following you on your journey! Are you in the US? Stay safe x

So worth it!! Post OP Tummy Tuck #day7

So today was the day! I had my drain removed and could finally see my tummy results! The pics say it all and I’m super happy! Surgeon did say swelling will go down three times.. my husband was blown away, he is very happy with the outcome as he was very worried about how it was going to look after. So it all worked out. I’m also feeling great today, made and packed school lunches... got dressed and did my hair, starting to feel abit normal today again.

Hi my surgeon gave me 2 , they are by Marena. Excellent post surgery garments. Take a look they are very comfortable too, not cheap. But quality.
Thank you, cool OK my surgeon gave me a marena one as well, thought maybe I should buy a lipoelastic one too. I find the Merena one wide for my short torso, how does yours fit?
I have a «body»/high panty type from Nordicare, and a binder from the same brand. Love both, and they were provided by the clinic. :)
