I couldn’t be happier . I am so glad I made the decision to do this. I still get selling but it isn’t horrific. Seems to depend on my sodium intake activity level (sitting or longer periods). Scar is flat and is less dark in person that pictures . I will take the scar any day though over the crinkly saggy belly. If you are on the fence about doing it , JUST DO IT! I wish I didn’t wait so long .

You look great!! Thanks for posting. Nice to see someone so far along in the process. I am almost 7 weeks and dealing with swelling since I was cleared to be more active. I can’t wait for it to decrease.

Thank you, you're welcome! Congratulations on your surgery. The binder definitely helped me. Sitting for long periods or too much activity or sodium always made it worse for me. I had to be drained a few times post surgery. I still get swelling but nowhere near what it was . Best of luck on the rest of your recovery. You will continue to see improvements each week and onward. I can't wait for my year mark.

Hi there, you look great, excellent results! If you are comfortable could you share your age and height, weight? My tummy is similar to your pre photos and I am looking to compare to someone with similar stats. Thank you and I’m so glad it went well for you!

Hi. I am in my 40's. I am 5'2 and was 122 lbs day of surgery and 117 lbs post surgery .

Thank you. I appreciate it. How bad was the muscle repair pain? Did you have difficulty taking a deep breath after? I had twins (15 lbs together) and have a huge muscle gap. So afraid of the pain and so sick of the hanging skin!

I felt recovery was very easy and way less pain than I was expected . I couldn't stand straight but I was able to sleep in my bed in my side or back no problem. I think everyone is just different . I was up about right away. Acura ally has to force myself not to move around as much. Definitely needed help to shower . The drains were the make annoying part.

PS. My upper back hurt from the hunching over for weeks
June 24, 2020
True, we are all different. I think I need to do it. So sick of hiding my middle and having back pain. I healed well from the c sections so maybe I would do well, who knows. I appreciated your answers thanks.

I was too. I couldn't take it anymore and procrastinated for years . I didn't heal well from my c-section so was very nervous . My c-section opened and I had to wear a wound vac for weeks. I healed very nicely with the tummy tuck and no issues . Go for it ! You will be so happy :)

You look great and the scar is not bad at all! I am 3 weeks post op tomorrow. You had muscle repair for diastasis recti right? At 6 months PO are you used to that internal tightness? It feels like I'm wearing an internal corset. Wondering when that subsides.

The more the swelling subsided the better it felt . I sometimes get that feeling back if I swell.

Swelling has gone down significantly tho week. Had 15 cc’s fluid extracted earlier this week. Swelling increases during the day but it isn’t painful anymore and doesn’t get too too bad. Still have residual swelling in lower abdomen and “love handles” but I am very pleased with results. Cleared to begin exercising, upper and lower body and elliptical. No core exercises yet.

You look great! Thank you for sharing your story. How are you feeling? If you had back pain because of your muscle separation, is it better now?

Why is the incision so far around the hip?

I had a full tummy tuck not a mini
June 26, 2020
I had a tummy tuck in February as well of this year. How is your scar today? Mine is still a little dark still using Mederma.
June 26, 2020
Hi. I had scaraway silicone strips and they lightened slightly and are smooth. They are still noticeable definitely. I posted a recent pic the other day if you scroll through my pics. They are lighter in person than in the photo. I expect maybe a year or so mark they will be lighter . It took quite some time for my c section scar to get very light

Ok thank you & good luck. It truly was the best decision I’ve made.
June 26, 2020
Me too. I will take a scar any day over what was there .

Love the results, I’m using Mederma and scar away strips to try and flatten as well as lighten the scar... swelling on the left is still an issue for me but getting better. Looking for a massage therapist in the area.

Thank you. I have swelling more on one side then the other as well. Mine is on my right .

Consistently seeing results !

I am 4 weeks post up today and I can see a waist and swelling has gone down significantly. Still have swelling in the lower abdomen and above the incision on my sides . It is more swollen end of day then in the morning . I can wear two pair of my post op stretchy jeans and there is room. I can fit in all of them but some are still uncomfortable with the swelling . I am down about 5 lbs since pre op. I can’t wait for the final results but I am loving it so far. I had to go twice for fluid extraction. It wasn’t too bad . 40cc’s first time and less than 25 cc’s yesterday. I go back in 3nweeka and can begin exercising next week. Light weights upper body only, can so elliptical but not core workouts.
