So Worth It!

WORTH IT
I had a FUE on my eyebrows of 250 hairs. While scheduling was a bit annoying in such a busy practice (long response time, his surgery before my consultation ran late, my surgery time was moved), it is worth it to get this level of artistry. Dr. Wong took a great deal of care in sculpting my eyebrows, drawing and redrawing the outline. I wanted a shape that was a little different than what he had planned (adding hair below my brows to replace what I'd over-plucked as a teen), he did what I asked for after explaining to me the pros and cons of the placement.

I'm currently two weeks post-op with a tender, raw recipient site and no complications on my donor site. I had a week of bruising and scabs comparable to microblading. As far as I can tell there was no loss of donor hairs. My brows are looking perfect and so much easier than my old makeup routine. The literature they gave me warned me that the recipient sites will go dormant and lose the hair temporarily. I will update after that and my 6 month follow-up consultation.

Dr. Wong was up-front with costs and actually came in well under the cost of his original quote.

Shedding Phase

miss0anne
As I was warned, my beautiful new brows are falling out. The transplanted hairs apparently go into a dormant phase for a few months. My thin brows are from over-plucking rather than genetic loss, but this must be what it feels like to have hair loss. Every time I wash my phase there are a few more coming off on the wash cloth and things are looking pretty sparse. I'll update when this (hopefully) is done and they grow back.
