Overharvest Donor Area - FUE 2017
My overall experience was mixed....
Dr Cinik is nice and comes across at times professional and knowledgeable. I was not too happy with my transplant for the following reasons:- Firstly it was agreed I would have 2500 grafts. I actually had a lot more than this - Now you maybe thinking that is a great thing as I got more grafts however have over harvested my donor area and you can see big gaps in my donor area. I have since gone to a few surgeons in Harley Street who have all confirmed I have indeed had a lot more than 2500 grafts after inspecting my donor area. 2000-2500 grafts are usually taken just on the back of the hear, as you can see in my pictures you can see gaps from ear to ear meaning far more then the initial 2500 grafts have been taken. During months 4-6 my hair was looking terrible, it was looking worse than before the transplant, when I contact the dr only the suggestion was to wait and be patient and it will be better. The only reason it is slightly better now is because I decided to do laser and minoxidil to save my hair (After consultation from London based hair clinic)Whenever I contacted the clinic via whatsapp the only message I would continually get from the clinic is.... Just wait it's early.. you need to give it a year blah blah, they even suggested that if it didn't work after 1 year they would do another transplant?! Why would I want another one if it didn't work with them in first place? I mentioned Dr Cinik is nice and he is and "at times comes across professional" - the reason I said this is because, the day after the procedure you get a taxi to take you to a consultation room whereby Dr Cinik himself sees you one by one to see you, I felt this being important as it was the day after the op, it was really rushed and I got the impression they wanted me in and out of there asap. But what made it worse was there was another guy with us there in waiting room to see Dr Cinik, The poor guy didn't get a chance to see him and Dr Cinik left the building. We were all on way to airport later at that day and we wouldn't get no chance to see or speak to dr. In my opinion poor professionalism. I would urge caution with getting a hair transplant in Turkey as the aftercare is basically non existent, if you have any problems or complications you can't hold them accountable and you can only contact them via WhatsApp and majority of the time with the greatest of respects the people who respond don't speak great English.
