FUE with Dr Arslan...regretful by all means!
When I was searching for a good clinic for my FUE, my gaol was to find a doctor who will do the whole procedure by himself. I think I got tired from search at the end, plus Dr. Cinik was fully booked, so I went with Arslan (every day I suggested was open for him). (I also saw some posts that take about good results with him, but did nto show any photos, I hope they are not fake ones)
Before procedure:
I met Dr. Arslan at one of the esthetic clinics. Asmaa was there because he does not speak English . I started to explain about my front line and head and my expectations, he said "just leave your head to me". Then he stood 2 meters away from me and started dancing in place while focusing on my head! (That looked strange for me)
Suddenly three ladies entered the office we were using and they started to use the space as if we where invisible in the room. They did not address Dr. Arslan by greeting or even by looking at time. One of the ladies sat at the desk and was talking to the other two ladies. Neither Dr. Arslan nor Asmaa have made any comment to them they just stayed quite until they left the room. After they left they asked me for the payment, 3000$. I know know this is ridiculously high price and average price is 1500$. I admit I was naive.
During the procedure:
The room was small, bed was very uncomfortable, specially at the head bed area. It si nto the room they sent to me in picture.(Now i know that more trusted centers do their procedures in hospital not in clinics)
Dr. Arslan was impulsive and aggressive while handling my head during the procedure. He was not gentle at all.
The anesthesia was really painful (but I think it is just what it is!)
After the procedure:
when I looked at my head, i was HORRIFIED!
The hairline looked bizzar to me! Before the procedure I told him not to make it look V shaped at the front, but then he did it like that.Another problem with he hairline a t the temple area on both sides, it was going was backward, does not make any sense! I told him right away that I do nto understand what hairline is that! He said it will look better after the edema subsides. I knew it was nto jut the edema. I asked him how many follicles he grafted, he thought about it then said 2600.
The first wash.
They did nto send me transportation , i paid for the way to the office and back to the hotel
When we met I told him I am not happy with this hairline. His answer to me was "are you taking Seroquel"?
He started attacking me saying that I should see a doctor to take medicine because I am depressed!
I kept my calm, redirected the conversation to the procedure. He again was aggressive and said the F word!
I told him, this is the fist time in my life to know that doctors can use the F word with their patients!
His aggressive attitude could nto stand against the truth: it was a disastrous procedure. I made him sign a paper that will correct the hairline on another procedure,
However, I left the office know that I will never let him operate on my head ever again.
The next few days I spent looking for a fix for my hairline. Everyone saw it agreed it does not look good.
I consulted with Dr. Yetkin Bayer, has very decent and professional attitude
I saw people who did their procedure with Dr. Cinik, they have very good results. I visited Renova clinic as well, their patients are generally satisfied.
Hair transplant is very delicate procedure that costs a lot, time, efforts, comfort, convenience, money and health wise! Some of the changes wont be reversible! There is a lot of deceptive and commercial marketing, It is important things go very well.
With Dr. Arslan, everything was just very bad:
professionalism/attitude, results, technique, and cost
Insight and WARNING!!! The Cost of FUE Transplant in Turkey
Like all here, I made a lot of research on different providers. At the end i decided to go with doctor who perform the whole procedure, thinking the results will be better, even if i will have to pay higher price. THIS IS THE FIRST WRONG ASSUMPTIONS/MISTAKE!
When I arrived to the hotel, before even going to the procedure, I met with few gentlemen who had their transplants done over the past few days. They were all satisfied for what they got, usually more than 4000 grafts. They were were shocked when I told them that I will pay 3000$ for my procures. They paid price between 800 and 1500 $ in maximum. One of them wanted to connect me to the clinic where he did his procedure. Sadly I did not go with that because I was still having holding on the first assumption despite multiple evidences from these gentlemen who advised me sincerely before my procedure. THAT WAS A MAJOR SECOND MISTAKE!
I paid the 3000$, my procedure is done?
How many grafts i got: the doctor assumption is 2600 not more.
Was the hairline restored in natural appearance?NO. I will need another corrective surgery in September to fix the hairline. The one i have now in very curved and give abnormal appearance. My major and biggest mistake is that I piked up the WRONG DOCTOR!
(however i saw good results with people who did it with Dr. Dr. Yetkin Bayer) I mean to say not all doctors are bad.
I feel so bad about the results. Getting this procedure done is not easy and everyone should be very carful with selecting the right clinic. Now I know I fell in a trap where I was sold the idea that more money is for better results. Doctor who does one surgery per day is not doing this for the sake of the patients, but because he is nto good doctor and so he does not have more patients to operate on. This is the crud truth. They played the trick very well. Do not be the next victim.
NEVER EVER PAY MORE THAN 1500 euro for a procedure! (I think Turkish people get it done for 500-800, but if you are a foreigner here then you will pay more, which I think it is not fair)
Get in touch directly with people who had the procedure done. Reviews wont give you the whole truth. Write about your experience, whether it was good, bad on in the middle.
(I have reasons not to mention the name of the doctor who did my disastrous procedure!)
