Crown after SMP
I’ll add a before and after where I’m 16 Months post op and a Handful of SMP sessions. It’s really nice. I still use a little colored fibers to limit shine but I can get in a pool now
8 months
Maybe my final update but at this point I think 80% has grown and I’m happy. My hair is back to what it was in my 20’s. I was not happy with the crown area after the transplant and had SMP done. It’s possible more could grow after 8 months but I was tired of waiting. Any pictures after this will skew the actual transplant results as SMP has really filled in any gaps. I’m very happy with overall density everywhere except crown, I thought of having 1 more transplant in 12 months to add a little density in the hairline and possibly a little in my crown but I’m not going to waist too many grafts in the crown black hole. To be honest I don’t think I need another transplant at this point as SMP had done wonders and I’m happy. (I should start a different review for SMP). I also need a break from the whole hairloss process. The pictures show my hair cut super short on sides. I actually cut it shorter than normal to fill in any gaps with SMP but I didn’t really need it. The crown is after second SMP and I’m scheduled for another in September. I almost don’t need any concealer ... if I do use toppic or spray it only takes a tiny amount.
5 months and getting happy
Crown has just started growing. Front looks really great. I feel like my frontal could literally have jut 200 more hairs and I’d be 100% happy but I can style it any way I want now. It’s possible. Might have a 100-200 graft revision next year but I’m in no hurry. If the wind blows now it just looks like I’m a little thin where as before it looked wretched. Styling my hair is fun. I’m only at month 5 so I hear I’m probably at only 50-60%. ... looking at pictures from day 3 I feel like my frontal is at 80% and my crown is at 30% but I’m not worried. If this were all that grew I’d be perfectly happy (but I’d probably have a touch up)
