Ok , here we go , I started losing my hair at 21 , (family history of hair loss ) like most young men I didn't like the idea of being a bald man and could honestly say my hair loss was getting to the point of becoming an obsession , ( is it growing ? Or is it going ? ) It was a slow process at first and I managed to slow it down by using different lotions , potions and medications over the years . As I've got a bit older I've also become a bit complacent in taking these preventatives and my hair loss has continued to a NW 6/7 .
After spending years of researching FUE hair transplants I kept coming across DR Maral's Klinik in Istanbul which were showing amazing results and great reviews , thanks to all the ones who have gone before and inspired me ( to name a few Derek Lucan , Aussie Bee , SJ 14 , Indigored86 and many, many more ) .
Heading to almost 40 years old now I have decided purely for my own reasons ,that it's now or never to go ahead and see if FUE will work for me ..
After a few emails to Dr Maral I booked my flights from the UK to Istanbul on 9/4/2017 for 3 nights .
I would like to say I found Dr Maral and his staff very friendly , efficient and on top of their game .
Thanks to all at Maral klinik Istanbul
Here my journey begins ...

thanks for the review it’s looking really good. I’m going next Friday to have mine done. how did you find going back to work? from your pictures I’m assuming you’re a builder? I’m a builder to and was hoping to go back to work the day after I get back but I’m worried if it will be ok as I’v heard your not supposed to wear hats how did you find going back to work?

Hi Shaun , thanks for your kind words , yes I'm onsite Chippy , but fortunately work for a small/medium sized company and we don't wear hard hats on most jobs , I went back after 2 weeks and wore a baseball cap to stop dust landing on my head and also to hide it from work colleagues, didn't last long haaa

Where are you going for your procedure ? and how much time have you from procedure day to back to work day ? thanks
February 15, 2018
haha yeah I’v told mine so il be looking forward to some stick when I get back. I don’t have to wear hard hats either which is good but because I need to go back to work straight away I wasn’t sure if wearing a baseball cap would be ok as it will be 2 days after the opp but I will need to cover it from dust and dirt. how did you find the flight back did you cover it up?

Heya , so basically from day 1 to 7 you don't really want anything touching your head , just washing it lightly , after day day 10 the graft structures are well embedded in your scalp and can't be removed , I wore a baseball cap ( not tight around scalp ) after 10 days , if I were you I'd get some kind of light weight , non tight around the scalp hat that can just sit on your head , you might still have some slight swelling for a few days after but it does go ... can you pull a 2 day sickie ?

These are the photos I sent over to get post operative evaluations from different clinics , I personally seen two different specialists in London who were offering minimum results at £10K plus per session ( minimum of 2 visits in total ) they both were dressed in £3k suits and had £40K + flashy motors parked outside .

Hi , here are My pre procedure photos taken 1/2 hour before the procedure , courtesy of DR Maral , I usually keep my head shaved to a 0.5 guard but had to grow it a bit for evaluation on the day .
