12 Days and some chewing gum

$1,800
Today is the 12th day, and I am able to chew gum without being worried my head my scrunch up and cause grafts to fall out. Things are going along pretty well. My swollen head has decreased a lot. Although it still feels swollen. Matter fact I believe it is, because my hats fit tighter. The top of my head is still numb, does that mean it's swollen?
All scabs/crust are out. 9th day I shampoo like 3x for about 30 mins and kind of massage the area (not rough at all) and they were coming out. What a relief. I just hope I didn't damage any grafts. I'm using argan oil and aloe vera everyday as well as still shampooing. When ever I start to itch, which is a lot (donor) I slap the back of my head and put on argan oil which relieves.
Everything is going rather smooth. My only question is...can I ride a motorcycle? Can I put on a helmet? What if I cover my head with a rag/bandana?
Looking forward to the future

I've got a question about the PRP treatment. I was told that you're given PRP before and after the tranaplant. Is that correct? It's included in the price from what I've been told, but I havent seen anyone mention PRP whatsoever....?
I don’t believe I was given the PrP treatment. Pretty sure I wasn’t. But I also read, evidence that PRP really helps hair transplant is inconclusive. If it’s a make or break your decision, I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Hope it helps
How many days did it take for the whole hair transplant? Did it take one day for the whole HT procedure?
Sharing your experience definitely helps. Thank you! However, PRP is used for a plethora of things and I would rather use it given the opportunity, and especially if it's included in the price which it is. That's what they're saying on WhatsApp. You might not have needed it since you don't seem to have any thining hair? I mean your hair looks great and healthy and after the hairline is done growing it'll be even better.
It takes 6 to 8 hours according to their website, but I'm guessing that the time is individual to an extent. As in the amount of grafts needed, the area that is to be covered etc.
Took one day. I didn’t have many grafts. About 6 hours.
I didn’t look intensively into it but I did do some research. And for the most part PRP sounded like it may have been an extra sale. But that is not to discourage you. If it works for one individual it may work for others. I just don’t remember it being talked about during my surgery
They told me everyone gets the PRO treatment, so you probably got it too bro.

I haven't started shedding most of the hair even though it's almost been a month now. Also, there's more hair on the wright side than the left, and seeing how they were two technicians, one could have been better than the other. It is far too early to tell, but it's difficult not to over analyse everything... :D
Joe E that’s interesting. I will contact them about it. I feel your pain on over analyzing. It’s hard no to. But time will tell. Same here, majority of hair has shed but some remain. Waiting game now
Thanks for keeping us updated bro. How’s the progress going?
Tman no problem. It’s going as expected I believe. I think the first two months go by fast but seem long because you are waiting for the slightest progress
Any updates, my man?
Gonna update on this month around the 20th for my 3rd month. Waiting game for hairs
Cool. How long did it take for your recipient and donor areas to look normal enough that you could go without a hat and not get stares from people.
Any updates I'm curious, was thinking of going there.
any updates (new Pics)
any updates , ur the last person to help me make my decision wanna get mine done before new year .

Post Day 5: No more matrix pills!

Day 5 after HT, which means no more pills that were given to take. Yes. I hate taking pills. For the most part, things have been good people. Slight pain. Not even pain, more irritation. Grafts seem to be intact still. But...I did say for the most part right? When these doctors tell you 3-6 days swelling may occur. Man they are not playing. Major swelling day 3. Head looked like a ballon. Of course I panicked and contacted Jale. She said it's normal, to drink plenty of water and rest. Should go down in a couple days. Seriously how do people work right after these HTs?
I have been using aloe Vera on donor area, and argan oil on recipient area. These seem
to be universal terms. At times when the donor feels dry, I apply aloe. And same for recipient with argan oil.
Sleep at night is ok for the most part. Sometimes I get uncomfortable. Not sure when I'll be able to sleep regularly. For now I use a travel pillow with my head slightly above heart at like a 30-45 degree angle.
I've attached pictures. No shedding as of yet. Although I applied aloe Vera to the recipient a night ago, and it looked like a graft or two came out so I stop that quicker than my eyes could blink. Thanks for tuning in.

2400 grafts to the hairline should provide excellent density =)
I am hoping. Everything goes well. That is the plan. =]
Congrats on getting the ht done DM88. I remember the feeling well when I had mine done some 18 months ago now. Your experience in Turkey brings it all back to me and the feeling of those injections is one to remember. I hope it all goes well for and it looks good so far. Lloyd b
Thank you Lloyd b. You sir are one of the main reasons I decided to brave it out and do it. Your hair looks great bro. Of course you have your own outlook of what you want (same here) but it looks great to me. The journey so far is great but nerve wrecking. Only because, I get unsure if I'm after caring properly. But time will tell. Thanks again.

Picture of plan, and from before at clinic a day of.
Today is day 3 post surgery. Head still swollen. Please go down. Slight itch in donor area, but nothing too bad. Scalp is dry, considering maybe something to keep it moist.

Thanks for the update! Im really interested in your progress! Im debating doing it but nervous, so these reviews help so much!
Mortuno, Nervous is apart of the process. But take the leap of faith. In time we will see.
Thanks for sharing your journey DM88. I am scheduled to have mine done late this year. Like Mortuno, I'm really nervous as well. Actually, more like scared. A big part of the fear comes from leaving the US to get this done. Another reason is the fact that Lloyd B is the only person who has documented his experience from the beginning to the very end and Esthetica doesn't do themselves any favors by not having very good before and after pictures on their website (I know a big reason is them having to depend on people from out of the country to send them update pics and some of the pics they receive are poor quality). But it's hard to determine if they do good work with such few examples. My biggest concern as far as quality is concerned is placing the follicles in an unatural angle from the way it naturally grows or them over harvesting my donor area. Such few black men document their FUE experience, so folks like you and Lloyd are doing us a HUGE favor by being willing to share. I'm really forward to seeing how everything turns out with your procedure. Great I hope!
Wishsandwich trust me, your nervousness is valid. Any operational procedure is nerve wrecking. On top of that, having the procedure done in a foreign country is even more nerve wrecking. I will say this, I'm not entirely sure how the hair transplant offices/buildings look in the US, but in Turkey Estethica looked very professional. The doctor and the nurses were professional. I notice almost everything. Seeing them with gloves on, then stopping to take care of something, removing the gloves, leaving, coming back washing hands and putting new gloves on, put me at ease. That's professionalism. Would I have left the US if they offered the same price as Turkey? No. But I believe Turkey is every bit as professional as the US. As far s results, I hounded them about pictures as well. But patient confidentiality, they couldn't provide. And I understand. I just took a leap of faith from Lloyd B and others on here and decided on doing it. If it doesn't work out, then hey I didn't lose out on 11,000 and I can try something different next time. Hope it helps
Thanks DM.....It is nice to know they keep it professional. And the savings are huge in comparison to what you can get here in the states. What parts of your procedure was done by the Doctor and which were done by techs?
From what I could tell. Doctor did the injections, hole puncture and removal of grafts with Nurse. Nurses did planting of grafts, with doctor checking in and doing a good amount as well. I was drowsy from IV but that's what I remember I believe.
That sounds reasonable. Thanks for the quick reply. I'm sure I'll have more questions as you progress through the stages and my appoiment gets closer!
No problem at all. I'd say take the leap of faith
Did you ask the clinic have they done african american hair b4?...I'm curious to see how it will turn out...I had two terrible transplants b4 with doctors that didn't really work on the curly roothe b4...
