Hello, did you find that all your grafts were embedded within your scalp in the first week? Did any appear to look like they were poking out (i.e attached to the scalp but the transplanted hair had skin/tissue/graft) around it?

FUE Hair Transplant in Dublin, Ireland

I am 29 years old and have been very slowly losing the hair around my hairline for about 7 years. So over the last year or more I had been considering the possibility of getting a hair transplant. However while doing research on different clinics in different countries I found it difficult to really find somewhere that showed great results but was also reasonably priced.

Then I came across a clinic called MHR (Medical Hair Restoration) in Dublin City. So after viewing their website I got in contact and arranged a free consultation at the clinic. Kim, who is the owner of the clinic, went through everything with me on the day of the consultation, including showing me previous clients hair transplants and results. I was very impressed with everything so I decided to go ahead and book the procedure for roughly 3 months after the consultation. Between then and the day of the transplant Kim answered any questions I had and put my mind at ease about the whole thing.

When the day of the operation finally arrived I was a little nervous but as soon as I arrived at the clinic I knew I was in good hands. The clinic is extremely clean and tidy and the team are very knowledgeable and make sure to look after you in every way they can.

So once all the formalities were out of the way they took photos of my head and drew on the new hairline (which we had agreed at the consultation) before shaving my head. The anaesthetic was applied gently and felt no more than a few small pinches on my head before the numbness kicked in, no pain whatsoever. And then they extracted the grafts during which time I actually fell asleep. After the desired number of grafts had been removed (roughly 1850) I was given a choice of hot lunches and had around a half an hour break. After this it was back to the chair again to have the second half of the procedure. Again the anaesthetic was quick and painless and they began work on rebuilding my hairline. During this time I watched a movie which was great to pass the time.

Once the operation was over I got a comprehensive chat about the aftercare that would be required to make sure the best results possible were achieved along with all the necessary medications and saline sprays for the following week.

From start to finish the whole experience was way above what I expected it to be and I couldn’t be happier with how the day went. Kim and her team are brilliant at what they do and I would recommend them to anyone who is considering getting the procedure done.

I will update my progress as I go along
