I Cannot Recommend Dr. Bartlett Enough

Dr. Bartlett is amazing! Everyone said that about him going in so I had high expectations and he and his team have exceeded them. I came into surgery (bilateral double mastectomy with free nipple grafts) with a DDD+/E chest, 17 years of binding damage, and an extreme amount of inelastic, excess skin after a 150LB weight loss and I cannot believe the results I am seeing at only 1 week post-op.
The past week has been a near euphoric experience. His staff does a great job of helping you get prepared for surgery and knowing what to expect, the nurses and anesthesiologist the worked with me were so kind and trans knowledgeable, and I woke up from surgery in NO PAIN. I don't understand how it is possible, but I have had recoveries from a sprained ankle that were worse then the recovery from this surgery.
In general, this experience was so much better then I dared to imagine it could be. From the very beginning Dr. Bartlett and his staff have been caring and responsive to my questions and concerns. You can tell they have been doing this for a long time and that they are experts at it. I am non-binary and have history with panic in medical situations and there was no point in this process that I felt uncomfortable on either front.
I also cannot say enough about his contouring and the placement of my nipples and scars. It finally feels like I am looking at the chest I was supposed to have all along and I could tell from my consult with him that he could see what fit my body right from the beginning. My friend had the same surgery with him a few months ago and their scars and nipples look completely different from mine, but perfect for their body and build. Dr. Bartlett is a perfectionist like everyone says, but I think it is more accurate to call him an artist. He has a real passion and joy for his craft and it shows up in so many intangible ways in the results his patients get. It also doesn't hurt that he is a nice guy and good communicator. I feel very fortunate that Dr. Bartlett was my surgeon and I cannot recommend him enough if you are considering any type of top surgery.
