I've never felt my face was "right" for who I was in my mind. I'm an artist; and aesthetics, balance and beauty are obvious and important to me - so I don't feel it's vanity or a self esteem issue as so often touted to change your appearance. For some people it's just more worth it then a new car! So I've had rhinoplasty, my ears pinned back, filler in my tear trough, and now finally my lip implants yesterday! I went for the biggest in both, I know these tend to be more subtle, but I figure I can always add some restylane if I'm truly not satisfied at the end result. So the office was fantastic. I couldn't have chosen a better doctoc then Dr. Christine Stiles. Her staff and bedside manner were beyond accomodating.

Before the procedure the prescribed me an anti-viral, an antibiotic, some pain meds (tramadol / acetamenophin ) and one valium for the procedure. I arrived, they took before pictures and did all of my vitals etc., I also had to take a urine screen for nicotine as she is VERY serious about no smoking. I then was instructed to take the valium and one tramadol and they took me to the "procedure room" they let me pick the music, and they started by putting 4 q-tips like a walrus in my mouth with local numbing creme. Once I was numb, they got out the "big guns" and I got dental blocks in the 4 corners of my gums. They pinched, but it wasn't aawful . She also then injected the corners of my mouth with local which HURT. One I was totally numb, they draped towels over my face and eyes. The procedure took a lot longer then i thought, and there was lots of tugging. The worst part was mental - hearing the snips, and feeling blood stream down my cheeks. ew. but pan wise, I was totally numb. Once I was stitched, they went over the post op instructions with me, gave me some ice packs and we headed home. the numbness started wearing off on the drive home, and i was in LEGIT pain. I was starting to panic that this tramadol wouldn't cut it, and almost called to beg for something stronger.... I took a tramadol the minute I walked in. Everything ached and burned for probably another hour until I was able to doze off. Once I woke up, the pain was managed and it has continued to be pretty well managed since then. I'm only on the morning of day 2 now, so I'll update as I heal.

Hi hope you're doing well. My lips are probably the same as yours- if not smaller.. I've been thinking about permalip for a long time now.. Did you choose the 5mm size on your own, or did the doctor recommend it? Look forward to seeing your updates!!

So admire you. I'm on an artistic facial journey myself. Always felt ugly. So last year I had my eyes done .So on a high about them and very pleased with the results. This year a dace lift. Really don't want one but I'm 64 in April so would prefer not to because of the horrible scaring around the ears but dot think facial threading would be as good a result o After that its the nose .I had nose surgery many years ago and was happy but now my surgeon said it's become a poll beak and it will be hard to redo. It's not going to stop me. Good luck on your journey. Will look out for your follow up pictures .

Hi I just saw your post from long time ago on my site. I don't know if you followed my journey. But I am just close to three weeks out this coming Wednesday to be 21 days you can barely see the scars around my ears if you can see them at all. And the scar on my chin is is healed and getting lighter by the day. I'm not around I need toddlers and no one has noticed that nor my ears, but my hair covers that as well.
