I will start by saying I am not quite done with the healing process, but I'm so pleased and glad that I finally had the procedure done. After years of trying diet and exercise to get rid of the dreaded c-section flab I decided to just go for it. The entire experience has been quite a journey! This procedure is not just physically challenging, but also emotionally challenging, so it really helps to have health professionals that are sensitive to your needs and truly care. Athenix is a class act! Dr. Ciresi did a phenomenal job and he and his team are the greatest! Three months post-op I'm still a little swollen, but have dropped a full pant size and 18lbs lighter and counting. I could not be happier with the results! I'm more motivated to keep the weight off and to be able to enjoy my new look so a change in my daily life routine is a priority now. I feel more confident and sexy in form fitting clothing and I'm enjoying the compliments from family and friends!

Were you swollen this much from the 2nd week post op I had mine am a little swollen but u avoid alot of salt sometimes I take none.green smoothies have being my best buddy fruits and pure broths both chicken and meat. I am soar but am glad I haven't had that much swelling but again I was small but am still swollen as you said patience. If you try the green smoothies you can use laxative twice a week. Remember daily use if laxatives is not good

Hi Livi83,
I was still swollen during second week and still draining, also. Took a while for me. I'm not eating much...coffee for breakfast which keeps me filled until dinner. I'm having chicken salads on a regular basis, outside of that greens, broccoli and cabbage. My appetite is not back yet. I'm now in my ninth post op month and just this week having normal bowel movement without laxative help, so I'm getting there. I was especially excited about this sudden change! Still numb and some swelling but I can greatly see the difference. I'm pleased! I'll be swimsuit ready by summer!

So awesome and I couldn't agree more! I had my surgery 1/11. My emotions have been a bit of a roller coaster. I just wish the swelling would go bye bye. I know it takes time and patience. I too have been working out very hard and at least 5 nights at the gym along with trainers and stomach exercise every night. The c section flap wasn't going anywhere. You look great!

Thanks jtmay82016. Yes, you will indeed need plenty patience. Swelling and numbness have become a part of me now. Keep us updated throughout your journey! Best of luck on your recovery!

Today is October 15, 2016. My full tummy tuck was done March 8, 2016. I still have numbness and some swelling; out of the blue some days. Thought I'd take these pics before I become bloated again. I'm having a very hard time having regular bowel movement since surgery and taking a laxative daily to get relief. When I don't have a bowel movement my stomach feels extremely heavy and looks huge. Beginning to wonder if this feeling will ever leave. Today is a good day.

Hi Marquessa20966,
Yes, I'll post some pics of the scar. Dr. Ciresi prescribed some scar cream for me and it works great.
