6 years ago....I miss my smooth neck :(
It's hard to believe that I aged as much as I did within a six year period, sorry for sounding like I'm feeling sorry for myself you guys....big truthfully I do. I'm not ready to "let go" I want to keep myself up as much as possible.

It happens in stages from what I hear, like you don't age at all for 5-10 years, then a lot in one year. Maybe that is true, who knows? Either way life is short and you have to do what makes you happy. Your face looks like a baby face. Your neck looks fine in this pic actually, but in the other pics I see your area of concern. Your makeup is expertly done. Bet you look even younger with the fresh-faced morning look. I used to be a makeup queen, mouth lately I think less is more. Wondering if after the neck lift I will want to wear more again.
Ah! I just got that that was an old pic!!! No wonder neck looks good! Ok, so your face hasn't aged, just neck. The good side of that is the neck is easy to fix and bet no one notices it :)
Oh ok, phew! That's good to know...thanks. And yeah I heard the same thing you did about aging happening in cycles like that. I guess it relates to our hormones or something. Some celebrities take so type of drug to counteract the hormones from aging them as fast...I forgot what it's called...
I used to be a make-up artist for Chanel...lol
Oh, it's human growth hormone...keeps skin thick and keeps people lean and muscular. Pretty much every celeb who is in great shape in their 60's+ is on it. When you see one guys like Mick Jagger with the 20 yr old body and 80 yr old face- they're on it. :) I've thought about taking it...it's expensive and have to be sure totally clean bill of health first.
As of now I use progesterone cream. From what I've read, pretty much every woman over 35 could use it. You probably are too young, but good to have a plan. Susan summers is the poster child for bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. Her books are informative and entertaining. I went to a bioidentical dr...very expensive for all the tests...and he basically said I needed progesterone. Now I just buy the cream and use it w cycle. It's very calming. Saves a few hundred every few months to see him, only so he could tell me I need something which is OTC anyway.

Chanel shadows have the most beautiful sheen. Bet you were awesome at your job.
Wow wow wow Aquavelour....you are a wealth of knowledge!!!!! Seriously, I'm taking notes! Thanks for the informative response I'm totally going to try to get my hands on some of the human growth hormone, hopefully it doesn't cause cancer, but what doesn't? Lol and yes you are absolutely correct about Chanel's shadows, in my opinion they are second to none! In fact everything is great with that line, just about, except for their mascara NOOOOO lol...I stick with Lancôme
You can increase your level of HGH by intermittent fasting if you are interested in such things. I do it in moderation because it disrupts my sleep.
You look very pretty. Your neck looks fine tretinoin 0.1 works great on the neck.
You know, my derm told me the same thing, and I have a box that's been sitting in my cupboard...in going to take your guys' advice!
Retin a will improve skin, but I think you're like me and looking for perfection, or as close as possible
Girl you are being to hard on yourself u look stunning ;)
@transformer 101 you're too kind. You spending the time to make a nice comment like that is genuinely appreciated :))) I wish I saw myself that way. Anyway, thank you.
I was going to say it is your hormones as well but I see someone has beat me too it. Birth control pills may also do the trick.
Thanks cocoon
No problem. I am not sure if you take and supplements but adding more oil into your diet like flaxseed, salmon oil and consume a ton of water may be something to look into as well. I have the "neck" from a young age as well and have done many different things over the years to counter it. Exercise also helped for many years.
There is no doubt you are beautiful. I wish you the best.

Thanks again! I do use flaxseed oil, but maybe not often enough :)
I take flaxseed oil 3x a day. lol
Oh wow! It actually tastes pretty good, or at least I think so. I have a bag of the seeds as well, sometimes I lightly toast them and include on salad lol...yum
Check out the side effects for high. Not a panacea.
? You lost me lol....please remind me

Horizontal lines
You can see how I've lost elasticity in my neck. It ages me more than anything else.

I'm considering going to Dr. Richard Ellenbogen in Los Angeles. I trust him, and the price is not unreasonable....the traveling might be a pain in the ass....we shall see.
I think you look young and beautiful.
@annpam thanks dear, and same to you!
How did you find the surgeon you're thinking of going to. I'm 38 and have been dealing with the same thing for about 3 years. I live in los angeles and have appts with a few doctors but it's hard to choose who to go with.
@girlkj he's amazing, I've been following him on here for a while...plus he was a Dr. 90210 (old show) that trained the other plastics. He was rated top 10 PS in America. Additionally, dr. Ellenbogen's does charity work around the world to fix cleft lip on poor children
Great. I'll check him out. I'm going to see Dr. azzizadeh who has been highly recommended by my Derm in la but I'm not sure neck is his specialty. Such a bummer thing to even have to think of in your 30's!
I know right!!!! Please let me know how it went with your consult :)
I went to my other regular Derm (I have 2, one is good with fillers and one is better with botox and lasers) last week and told him I might get a neck lift. He LOST IT. Said the scarring is awful. I'm thinking it's because he'll lose the thousands he's charging me to try to correct it with lasers and botox (which are not working). My consult with the surgeon is in a few weeks. I'll keep you posted. :)
My nurse practitioner tried to sell me more filler, for the neck. There was a dr 90210 episode about the people doing notic and filler and how they make a lot more $$ than true surgeons
Yes yes pleaaaaasse do, I feel like I'm in the same boat as you, and yeah I think the $$$ is the main factor here...honestly I've seen surgeries with hideous scars, and then I've seen many where the scars are undetectable! He's wrong to make that assumption
Aquavelour, wow, I believe it! That's why I am going to take the aggressive approach (surgery) because I don't want to keep throwing so much money away on things that only offer slight improvements, or moderate improvements that simply don't last...After I get surgery for my neck I will likely cover my neck really well and avoid sun
Yes I agree. I think surgery will give the long lasting results u want. My neck bands are showing a bit too. I'm 31 and I Know u are around the same age. I may go for a neck lift too because why wait. Besides I read a lot of young celebs get work done way before average. It s not always age. Sometimes weight loss can do it too
Exactly!!!
Transformer, let's keep each other posted...I have two consults this month I'll let you know what they say
That sounds great I will definitely keep in touch and would love to hear what they say. I'm going for a few consultations too. Good luck ;)
I found out that some women just need the bands tied together. Is it loose skin or just bands like when u clench your neck muscle. If so it's even more easy for them to simply tie and stitch them together. And a little fat under the chin lipo will work great .
Oh wow, thanks! Yeah I would love to have those suckers tied or cauterized or whatever it takes....the vertical bands are what bother me the most
Yeah I noticed mine more after going into larger implants lol . Don't know if it's maybe made it worse.
That's crazy bc I noticed more after larger implants as well
Gosh, that is weird u noticed it too after u went bigger. Gosh maybe we should have stayed smaller .
Maybe one of us could ask the docs this question.
I thought you looked young for your age and beautiful too! I'm a perfectionist and believe that many of us fixate on tiny flaws in ourselves that other people wouldn't even notice. Does that mean I'm not going to have some fine tuning done? No! But I'm also trying to appreciate my beauty - inside and out - and you should too. You really are gorgeous!
Thank you!
Just telling you the truth!
