March 9, 2013
Extremely Nervous, is the only way I see fit to start this description of my Journey!

I am 31 (soon to be 32) mother of 3. I had my. First child when I was 19! Second and Third came when I was 27 & 28!! YES I was basically pregnant 2 years straight!!! Although I LOVE my kids (and husband) with All my heart... Creating this beautiful family has taken a toll on my body. Although I have never been the most fit/toned woman, I was still reasonably in shape. I was extremely skinny as a child and into my teens was please with curves. Sooooo what do I want?!?!?! It's simple... I wanna feel confident. I want to be able to comfortably sit with out folding my arms in front of me to HID MY FOLDS!!

As of January 2012 , (178 lbs , then 30, 5'4)I vowed that was it! I was going to make a change. The whole "oh I just had a baby" excuse had expired since my youngest was then 3!!!!

It is now March of 2013. I started my transformation in my New Years resolution of 2012
Sequence of events:

1. I started by joining Jenny Craig. Did that for about 3 months. My reason for joining Jenny was to LEARN HOW TO EAT! I knew I needed to start there. I had the WORST habits. Working full time, being a full time mommy and wife...I was literally not eating my first meal till about 2-3pm everyday. And then it was usually the worst foods (Carl's jr -chilli cheese fries, IN-N-Out, mozzerella sticks, Breads!) most times that was my only meal. So I joined Jenny and "trained" for about 3 months in eating correctly . I learned how to count calories and which foods would fuel me correctly. 1200 calories a day was what I started with. That in itself was a HUGE challenge. I didn't realize how LITTLE I was eating. I was basically starving myself and my body was holding on to everything it could. I was always tired and felt... Well horrible. I didn't loose anything those first 3 months, which was quite discouraging. I actually gained a few pounds. at one point i was over 180!!! But I knew I had done some damage to my body over the years and at that it would take time...
2. At inf March of 2012, i stopped using Jenny Craig (food was expensive). i learned how to eat and vowed to continue fueling my body. my next step...I joined a weight loss medical group. They started by having me do blood work to see where I was deficient and to see if I had any problems with my thyroid. Thyroid was good but u was severally deficient in Vitamin D. Other than that I was healthy. I started with A high dose of Vitamine D and was getting weeks shots of B12. After about a month I lost a few pounds but nothing to write a journal (like this one) about! At that point we are at the end of April 2012. They started me on Phentomine(appetite suppressant). I know I know you are thinking (but wait I thought you had problems actually eating 1200 calories" well I did. But I had an alarm on my phone telling me when to eat my 3 meals plus 3 snacks a day. I also purchased "Shakeology" from beachbody.com a meal replacement shake. This has tons of great things you need to fuel your body! So I started the Phentomine pills & the Shakeology along with my meals (1200 calories) and the B12 shots. At this point I was feeling pretty good. I had energy and felt motivated. By May I had lost a few pounds ...i was at the low 170's now! Woohoo :-/
3. May 29th 2012! I piece of me literally died!!! My mother passed away.
4. June, July I didn't do much. I stopped my journey in its tracks. I was numb.
5. End of July 2012. I finally went to see my regular doctor. I had anxiety, I could sleep. I was not good. At that point they weighed me. I don't remember much but I think I lost some. Maybe 168lbs(maybe not sure). My doctor out me on Wellbutrin( antidepressant).
6. August 2012. I remembered what I vowed to my son the night my mother passed. I vowed to take care of myself and live healthy. I would t do to him what my mother had done to us (not intentionally of course) My family has a history of obesity. My mother , although obese, had a eating problem. My earlier eating habits mimicked hers. She ate rarely and horrible. She, in a nutshell, was extremely unhealthy all her life! As long as I can remember she would not take care of herself but made sure EVERYONE around her was healthy and happy.
7. At the end of August 2012, I started back on my journey. I went back to the weight loss center. I got back on the phetamine, started my Vitamin D, B12 shots, Shakeology, eating 1200 calories 3 meals and 3 snacks a day, and the new ingredient "Wellbutrin".
8. September 2012 I was down to the mid to low 160's. woohoo
9. October - mid November. Stayed on the pattern. That was a huge challenge for me (waking up was a challenge most days)
10. Mid November. Started light cardio. Nothing major. Light jogging AND I purchased the brazillian butt lift video from beachbody.com.
11. December 2012... I was in the 150's !!! Woohoo. The holidays didn't "Eat me alive" no pun intended! I stopped the phentomine
12.January 2013... New year New me ... Goal this year was to finish the job! I was going to get the body I wanted. I started going to the gym. Hardcore cardio, Zumba, Pilates. By the end of January , with the new workouts and still on my food and vitamine routine ... I broke into the 140's!!! I was on a roll.
13. January 2013. I realized... Uhhhohhh !!! My skin is ... Ummmm really loose! Other parts of my body was shrinking with my weight loss BUT my stomach (low abdominal) was loose. So loose it looked like it did right after I had my kids! Did I just give birth to a new problem!
14. January-feb 2013... I was researching online and talking to trainers at the gym and asking what the heck to do with all this skin!
My research was discouraging!
15. Feb 2013. No more sulfate in body washes or lotions in this house! It does not help elasticity in skin. I met with a surgeon since that was where all the arrows where pointing to.1,2,3,4,5,6 surgeons later. Same information, only a Tummy Tuck would get rid of this :-( soooo I went back to the gym, 1,2,3,4 trainers later same thing. I can tone and tone but the extra skin wasn't going anywhere. Sooooo now I am here...
16. March 2013, Now at 138lbs. With the consent of my entire family (brothers, sisters, father , friends and most importantly husband ) I am going to get a Avelar Tummy Tuck, breast implants (I can't do the breast lift scar at this time) , LIPO on (ready long list) upper back ,upper abdomen, lower abdomen, flanks, hips, outer thigh, and last but not least a butt lift with a suture suspension and fat transfer (why let all the goodness go to waste)!

My 1st surgery is scheduled for march 20th, that will consist of the Avelar Tummy Tuck & Breast implants.
My 2nd surgery is scheduled for April 10th for the LIPO and FAt transfer and butt lift.

Blood is done . Pre op is this Monday (2 days)!
I am nervous but excited. My biggest concern is making sure I don't traumatize my kids and making sure they are properly takin care of.

Mommy makeover is almost done :-)
