Dr. Okamoto has set realistic expectations in regards to my weight and visceral fat. He's completely gone through all the risks associated with this surgery. His office staff is amazing and so encouraging. Lisa has worked with Dr. Okamoto over 20 years and speaks so highly of him. In addition to my consultation with him, he is board certified, and his patients spend the first night inpatient; she also contributed to my decision to choose this doctor. Lisa even recommended an in home nurse that can assist me and my family. I've had a couple of conversations with the nurse and she has been amazing. She is scheduled to assist me with recovery.

My surgery is Monday!! My preop lab work shows my diabetes has gotten worse...ugh. I need a time out from the family and work to focus on taking care of me. I'm in the car waiting for my doctor to call to discuss my results. Hope it doesn't impact my surgery. I'll keep you updated. :-)

My doctor said I'm still good to go with the surgery!! I'm nervous and anxious to get it over with.
Only a few more days and you will have the new tummy:) Please keep us up to date.
