I did my TT with Dr. Palmer.. I'm liking the results .. however there is a big gaping wound in the middle of my stomach , right below the new navel.. this have me extremely nervous!! I'm 6 + weeks post op and it's not getting better.. he us saying it's going to close up!! I personally don't see this happening without surgical intervention!! However I'm allowing him to do his job in a timely manner!! But I cannot wait forever.. it's very frustrating!! I need this heal like last week!! Did anyone have this experience!!

This is definitely not "normal healing" Dr palmer needs to be accountable and offer a true plan of action and explanation. You've got an open wound. Proper wound care should be a daily ordeal not just "wait it out" i know other doctors are reluctant to get involved but this seems negligent

Hi, I hope you have received some wound care from your PS. If not, I highly recommend that you seek help from your primary care physician. I am 60 and almost 3 months post op. My incision took 30 days to heal due to restricted blood flow. But I never encountered any serious issues. My doctor was vigilant and involved. He would not have allowed a wound of your size to remain untreated. Best wishes.

Hey Aqualife.. Thanks for response!! I am about 6 weeks post op. My PS assure me that it will heal .. it looks better than it was previously. But you are not the 1st person to mention to get help via my primary care ... i will post outcomes. Thanks again for input !!

How long did it take for your hole to close? I am almost 10 weeks PO. My PS left my hole open with trimming to see if it would close on its own. It didn't, so he stitched it closed. I have 2 small holes where it is pulling apart again! I see the PS in 2 days to get the stitches out and don't have a clue what he is going to do. Would appreciate any advice.

Hi!
When my incision came apart leaving me a large crater. My PS said he "would bring me back to surgery later on. But, not now cuz the skin arnd the wound is delicate/weak n if he sutured me right away; the sutures will not hold n the incision will re open up again leaving me with the same results. Also, it's better to wait for the wound to heal first."
So, I'm glad he didn't re suture me but I'm still not pleased with the outcome overall.

Mine was open for almost 3 weeks before he sewed it shut and it was getting bigger. I will find out tomorrow when I get the stitches out how he will fix the 2 places where the skin has pulled apart.

So why did this happen? And what was the resolution? Can you post pictures of how the wound looks now? Considering going to the doctor but your review scared me and made me re-consider... lol.
