After 2 kids (26 and 19) and a recent 60 pound weight loss, I'm finally ready to get the "girls" back where they belong. I'm 5'6" and about 147 lbs (would like to lose a little more). I've talked about wanting a breast lift since my kids were little and finally got up enough nerve to do something about it. My daughter is getting married April 15 so hoping I'm looking good and have dropped back down into where I should be by then.
My surgery is scheduled for next Thursday (Feb 16) and I think I'm both excited and nervous. The last surgery I had was a c-section 26 years ago!
Hoping to keep this review updated as I progress since I'm so thankful to be able to read the stories and see photos of those of you that have already had it done.
I'm planning to shop and food prep this weekend since my hubby isn't very helpful with things like that. Any last minute advise? Anything you found helpful having at home? Tips for an easier recovery? Also, how long did most of you take off work after? I have a desk job and was hoping to work from home the following week starting on Tuesday (surgery is the Thursday before) and return to the office the week after that.
Fingers and toes crossed that all goes well...

Surgery day!

Happy to report that surgery went well today and I'm in very minimal pain this evening. Love my PS and staff. They made it a wonderful experience!
Went in at 8am, had a pee test (guess they have to confirm your aren't pregnant). The dr came in to mark me up, next up was the anesthesiologist, and then the nurse to take me back. Had a small problem with the IV (normal for me), but got it in the second try in the other arm using a pediatric needle. They numbed the IV site, which made it much easier.
Once she added the 1st dose of "happy" medicine I was out. Don't remember anything except waking up in the car a couple times and climbing in my bed when I got home (hubby has a couple funny stories but I don't remember any of it lol).
I usually struggle with nausea from the anesthesia and pain pills so they gave me something in my IV and put an anti-nausea patch behind my ear that should last three days and so far so good.
I did take a pain pill before I fell asleep since my dr told me take them as prescribed for now to keep myself comfortable and pain free (usually I'd try to tough it out some). I also paid extra for a slow release analgesic pain medicine call Exparel that they inject into the surgical incision sites that should work for up to 72 hours (so far I don't feel any pain around the incision site so totally worth it to me).
I woke up about two hours later feeling fairly normal. I got out of bed and fixed myself some soup, ate it all and walked around a bit. I was still a little shaky but felt really good. My husband was shocked when we saw me up compared to how I was a couple hours ago ( he had to help be even walk, etc.).
I have a follow up appointment tomorrow to have the dressings changed and they will help me get in a bra. I only have dressings with a loose ace bandage think on now.
I know it will probably be worse once the injection pain medicine wears off on Saturday, but thankful for a good day today and I'll take it day by day! Can't wait to see how they look when they change the dressing tomorrow and will try to get a picture if I can.

Went to my dr appt today. They removed the dressings and everything looks great so far. Some swelling and light bruising but I was pleasantly surprised how good they look right now.
Pain is still fairly minimal, but expected that to change a little bit once the injection pain medicine wears off in the next couple days.
Next appt is next Friday and will hopefully get all the sutures out then.

You look really good! I was wondering being a mom myself and thinking of getting a breast lift..what was your bra size before? Mom 4 and nursed. The girls are not the same lol

Yes, mine definitely changed over the years, especially after breastfeeding and losing weight. I was a 36DD for the majority of the time and went down to a 36D recently with weight loss (almost an overflowing 36D, but the DD was way too big). I feel so much smaller right now so it will be interesting to see what I end up after all the swelling and settling takes place. The nurse told me it can take 4-6 weeks for the majority of the swelling to go down and not to go bra shopping until then. I was hoping to end up a 36C, but we will see. It's hard to tell when all I can wear right now is a sports bra. I'm a lovely shade of yellow right now from the bruising, but go back on Friday to hopefully have the stiches taken out so will post updated photos then.
