I’m 62 and have wrinkles and scaring. Retired so decided to try fraxel repair. This is the 7th day of a horrible recovery. Soooo painful. I went under anesthesia so it was extra aggressive. Anyone else have this hard a time with recovery?

I waited years to have fraxel repair because I could not take the time off work. I went under anesthesia because I needed to go deep. My recovery was far worse than I thought it would be. Dr. Pilest has me come back to the office several times a week for light treatments and checkups. After one month I was still tender and a little swollen around the lower cheek area but results for lines around lower mouth were fantastic. Above lip are still visible but improved.

Hi! Thank you for posting your pictures and I'm glad you are healing well now. I am on my 3rd day of healing from a Erbium laser treatment done around my mouth and I look quite similar to your pictures. I feel better now knowing that I can recover from this experience! God bless you!

I posted updated photos. I really did not think I could get through days 3-6 but between days 10 and 11 miraculous recovery occurred.

Why will my provider not attach to my review. Name is there in light print but but does not show photo and does not come up under his name search? Won’t let me change?

Soooooo much better. You really need a full 10 days of recovery. Face is still tender in lower cheeks and around mouth and eyes. Also a little numb still. Difference is very noticeable to me. Last night I met with friends and they all said I looked so great. They did not know I had the procedure

You had amazing results. I too had Co2 laser among other things, and am 5 days post op. I guess everyone heals differently with laser. I felt like a monster the first 4 days. Today I am starting to look like normal. I had a lot of brown peeling and when I thought I was done, more came to the surface. So glad you are happy with your results.
