Fraxel laser Elsternwick 33yo female

I had fraxel done 5 weeks ago and thought I'd leave a review for others contemplating it. I went to Dr Tass in Elsternwick. I had a brown age spot under my left eye that had gotten quite noticeable. The procedure didn't hurt exactly but i was HOT! You will feel like your face is on fire during the procedure and for about 4 hours after. I would not do it on a hot or sunny day or you will die! I had the aircon cranked in my car to take the edge off but it is very uncomfortable. You will look terrible for a week until all of the skin falls off. Your face is essentially a big scab. I was prepared for that though so I hid out at home and my husband did all of the running around( which was lovely!) you definitely do not want to pick at it or put anything on you're face while it is shedding. I couldn't have covered it with makeup so there was not point trying. My age spot fell of which was fantastic and it got rid of a few little bumps on my skin and it is really smooth. It still is a little red or flushed looking but I have just had the follow up genesis that is offered for free to calm that down. I was told it will go away on its own anyway but the clinic throws it in with the fraxel which is nice. In hindsight if you're skin isn't too bad you could probably have just the pigmented area treated so that you don't have the same amount of down time if it is only a spot or two but if you're pigmentation is all over then you would need to do your whole face. I'm not sure if it helped my wrinkles as I had Botox done 2 weeks after. I couldn't fault the clinic and their service they were professional and very nice and attentive. The girls all have lovely skin there which is always a good sign. If you are going to go through with it make sure you go to a good clinic because it is invasive and you wouldn't want someone to get it wrong. A good comment that the girls who treated me said was that it is to compliment an already good skin care routine. If you don't look after you're skin then it's like going tho the gym once a year. You will definitely have better skin if you treat what you can with a good routine first and then add something like fraxel once you have done all you can using actives first. Overall I got exactly what I wanted out of it. ????
