I was excited to get rid of something I’ve been insecure about since high school and now it’s even worse
I had Fractora done on some stretch marks on my butt and some scars on my thighs. Do NOT get it done. They put on numbing cream and let it sit for 30 minutes. The procedure barely hurt at all but it did hurt a little bit, some places more than others. It actually even tickled a bit on my hips. It felt like a cat scratch for the rest of the day. The next day I became incredibly itchy. I developed a rash around the places I had the Fractora marks. I think I had an allergic reaction to the bacitracin because I’m allergic to Neosporin but the doctor seemed to think that wasn’t it. I didn’t sleep through the night for a week because the itching was so bad. I used hydrocortisone 2.5% for the itchy and that didn’t help at all. He then put me on prednisone which helped a bit by the fourth day. It’s been a little over two weeks and I’m pretty sure I’m going to be left with permanent hyperpigmentation which is making my hypopigmentation that this was supposed to treat appear even worse. I also still have the “track marks” and a very unpleasant texture to my skin. I’m still very slightly itchy. I will update as time goes on. The doctor said to stay out of the sun and the marks will slowly fade which means my summer is basically ruined because my skin looks awful and I have to stay out of the sun. I cannot stress this enough, do NOT do Fractora. I was excited to get rid of something I’ve been insecure about since high school and now it’s even worse.
