Fractional Laser for Acne Scars and Sun Spots

After enduring severe hormonal acne from the ages of 17 to 24 (now 27) I went on an Accutane journey that completely cleared out my acne. However, I was left with some minor scarring and lots of sun damage since one of my awful techniques to cover my acne was to tan under the sun and get as dark as possible (young and stupid I know). Anyway, after finishing accutane I was and have actually been very happy with my skin, I rarely ever wear makeup anymore, but I guess it is human nature to want more and not be complacent. I started researching micro needling with prp as well as fractional laser and decided to go with the laser. I just had the procedure done this past Tuesday (almost 48 hours ago) and my face is still pretty swollen, rough to the touch and red/ dirty looking. I am kind of regretting getting it done since it is very annoying not being able to leave the house, but trying my best to stay patient. I will keep updating.

So, I have to admit last time I wrote this review I was still in the freaking out phase. Saturday morning I woke up and after I showered and washed my face a lot of the dead skin came off, and although still quite red, I was finally able to see a sneak peek of what my skin underneath looked like. Today, a week later I have to say I am very happy with my results and to me it was 100% worth it. I can tell my texture improved, my pores appear smaller and some of my sun spots faded. I am already planning on getting my second round in about 8 months.
