WORTH IT$1,200
I just had my first son 8 months ago, and I noticed right after I gave birth that my eyes were noticeably sunken in. I've never had anything done but this particular thing really started to bother me. I hated having to slather on a bunch of concealer and that still didn't conceal the sunken in part, just the darkest part. I constantly looked tired and older. I did a bunch of research and found the plastic surgeon I wanted, who was about 45 mins away from me in Fort Worth. The overall experience was great, I loved the surgeon and the pain was minimal. I'd recommend the cannula approach over several needle sticks, for many reasons (safety being one of them). I didn't even bruise which was surprising, considering how fair I am. I knew going in that it wouldn't get rid of the blue completely, but it definitely does help. It's only the day after and I'm pretty swollen, but I expected that also. I'll update more in the future.

Wow, day 1 looked great! When do you expect the swelling to go down? I have heard that sometimes restylane retains water so that if you have a lot of salt or alcohol, water will be retained in the area that the restylane was injected. Have you heard this? How is it looking day 2?

Thank you! It's day 2 and the left eye swelling has already gone down a lot, the right is still swollen but not as bad. I think he put more under my right eye. I was given a decent amount, my troughs were pretty deep. He used one syringe and I barely noticed, we ended up using 2 whole syringes. Any HA will retain water, some more than others.. So if I'm dehydrated, drink too much alcohol, eat too much salt, etc, I'll probably notice it underneath my eyes as usual haha. They warned me about this. HA is a natural product so it fluctuates like your body does.

Oh and it depends on the person, but most people say it goes down within a few days.

I'm sure you are right. I'd love to try this, but am weary as I know I'd probably end up one of the few that tends to retain water in that area. How are you on day 4 or 5? Better?

I'm better! The swelling has gone down a lot. Some of the Restylane is still hard but you can't really tell. It will probably take awhile before it softens out.

how many tubes did you need?

I ended up needing two whole syringes, which I wasn't expecting. I could have stuck with one, but it looked better with two.

Could you update a picture, please?
I've been thinking about doing this but I'm a little nervous of the length of time for bruising and swelling to subside.
Thanks
