I am starting to get really excited, nervous, and all of the other feelings that I suppose are normal. I am starting to really look at a lot of pre and post-pics on the site...trying to find pre-surgical patients to whom I look similar. I really hope I have realistic expectations. I don't want to be disappointed simply because I set the bar so high.
I am scheduled for an abdominoplasty in 17 days. I am a Nurse Practitioner, so unfortunately I may know too much going in to major surgery. My goal is to really listen to my surgeon and not think that I have great ideas about how to take care of myself any differently than he instructs! Really, I am worried about the pain. I am the first to recognize that I may be a bit of a baby. I am sure there will be lots of whining and crying involved that first 48 hours.

I really wish this was tomorrow. I don’t know how I am going to deal with this anxiety for 9 more days.
Some pre and post weight loss pics.
My kids are 15 and 17 years old and I finished a masters program last year. I am finally taking care of myself again.
I have everything together. I found a walker to help for the first few days. Trying to prepare my husband appropriately for what to expect.

After surgery did you feel short of breath at home? Just had my tt on mar. 13. Did you pee a lot for a few days?

I don't remember having shortness of breath but if u r wearing a binder maybe its a little too tight? Don't be afraid to call your doc if u r worried. That's what we paid them for :)

Yes I did pee a bunch!

I decided to take some before pics to help me remember why I am doing this. (Not sure why some of them keep uploading sideways...)
I am buying groceries today and then I think I am ready.

How exciting for you! I am scheduled March 21st and am starting to get the jitters. I am very excited but like you can't imagine how I am going to get through the next 3 weeks waiting! I am sure the emotional roller coaster is there for everyone before hand! Sounds like you are ready to go! Good luck to you and can't wait to see your pics!!

Get a walker.
No matter what -get a walker. A large amount of my pain was actually my upper back. Could NOT have .done it without the walker.
