I am having my surgery in two weeks. I'm excited as well as very nervous. After reading many reviews on this site, it has helped calm my nerves a lot. I have seen so many pictures of remarkable results.. I pray that my results are remarkable too. I have chosen an excellent surgeon that I have complete confidence in. I have been wanting to do this for a long time. I was a smoker and sun worshipper for many many years and it definitely helped the aging process a lot faster. I will post some before pictures soon. Any advice on what things I should have to help my recovery would be appreciated. I look forward in sharing my journey with each of you.

congrats on your decision. I am 61, pushing 62. In May 2016 i had my an upper eyelid and brow lift. That procedure was medically necessary as my eyelids were hampering my vision. It has been over a year so my recovery seems like a big blur now. i do recall i was out and about in about 4 days. i had minimal bruising and swelling. I looked like i had been punched in the face and or maybe stepped on a rake that hit me in the nose/eyes. Easily hid when i had sunglasses on. As for pain, not bad at all. Sure it was surgery and you will want to stay up on your meds to keep the pain to a minimum. i was given a eye cold pack at the surgey center. Loved it, used it frequently. If you don't get one of those, go buy a eye cold pack before surgery.
Since that surgery I had a lower body lift. Wow, now your talking pain. A total different situation. I had lost 124 lbs and after three years of maintaining my new weight (5'7 144) i just felt i deserved to have the skin gone. --but that is not for this post.
As for face and neck surgery, I just had that done 22 days ago. I am doing fine and the surgery was a breeze. I was under for 8 hours, and stayed over night in the surgey center. I had the SMAS work done, scar lines in the cartilage of the front of the ear and down below the lobe and around the back, extending out toward the center of the skull. In addition i had lipo and then the fat put back in my face, creases around the mouth-jowls, lips, and cheeks. The fat came from the belly and pubis area. Although my face no longer aches, the belly area still does.
I have short hair and there is no visible scar in the front of the ear. I am impressed. I will have scars in the hair line but who cares. As for pain, little worse than the eyelids and brow lift but nothing compared to the lower body lift. Again, stick with your meds. I was was off the percocet and using tylenol 500 by day 4. Bruising was minimal. I would describe the worst to be the tightness and the fact that you will be swollen and a little freaked out. Stay calm, relax, and by day 4 you will see the difference and see the YOU come back. The surgery does not change the way YOU look, it just gets rid of all the years of sagging and imperfections that have developed. This surgery I did pay for myself. Although I am still healing, i am pretty sure i would say it was worth it. Hope all this helps. In summary, sleep on your back, head raised for about 1.5 weeks and be prepared for tightness. Good news is the healing time is very short. best of luck.

Thank you. I’m improving each day, My brow lift incision seems to be healing slowly, but it does look better today. My neck is still very stiff.. My neck doesnt look as nice as some of the pictures on here, but looks a whole lot better than it did, plus its only been 3 1/2 weeks so I may be expecting too much too soon. How are you doing?
PS I am hoping to get the breast done in December or January.
and PSS i forgot to mention Br. Barzin's staff.... they too fantastic. I love all of them.
Good luck, and get ready to enjoy the changes. If you need more info, let me know. SSA
