I decided to have this done to see if it would tighten the skin and help with the wrinkling I get under my eyes when I smile. I only had this done around my eyes, which is why the price was a lot lower.

So let me just start with, this HURTS. I did not expect it to be so intense and at one point started crying and we had to stop. I took a valium and some motrin and we resumed. I had to stop again. I considered not completing the procedure but I wanted to make sure it was done evenly so I sucked it up and finished. I would highly recommend taking something for anxiety and pain before you go.

I'm going to be using this review as a sort of journal of the results I get. As of right now, it's been 1 month since I had it done. I did take pictures before the procedure and will try to update them regularly.

I have been seeing the Aesthetician for a while for facials and mild peels. I've come to trust her and I hope I was right in doing so with this procedure. She is always honest with me, patient, and understanding. She even gave me her personal number to call or text if I had any questions.

Look forward to seeing your pics. I had it done 1.5 weeks ago and had numbness and soreness. Still sore around jaw and numb around temples.

Not yet. They said it takes 3-6 months for the full effect to be seen so I'm waiting a bit to take them.

How are you now?

I was given 2 Vicodin and I was still in terrible pain, I would rate it a 9 out of a 10 after the medication. Beware!

Forgot to add....

I forgot to add that my face hurt for 2 weeks after the procedure. It felt bruised inside but there were no visible bruises. It also affected my nerves, if I touched my face, I felt a sensation way up on my scalp. This also happened during the procedure, I had scalp sensations from the machine going around my eyes. Really weird pain sensation, like electricity.

Do you know what level they put the machine to when they went around your eyes. I understand it goes from 2.0 - 4.5. If there wasn't enough dermis and muscle before the bone and the machine was set too high, I understand this is what can cause it to hurt much more. See if you can find out for sure. Otherwise, this procedure hurting is really based on ones threshold. I had it done and did not have any pain. Weird electric sensations for certain, but seriously no pain. I am always awed how each of us have such a different experience. I just hope to get results. It's too soon for me to make that determination. Please post update with your results. Thank you!

I don't think it did much. There was a slight lifting, my one eyelid sometimes droops a little and it seemed to help that. Didn't do anything for my wrinkles.

I decided to give it another try. This time I took a valium and advil before I left the house. The pain was much more bearable this time. I did take short breaks, but there was no electricity feeling and no hysterical crying spells. lol I am about a week out of the second try and my face is sore but my nerves are fine. I'm hoping that maybe if I do this a few times, it will build up and work. But until then, I am going to give in make an appointment for filler and botox.

I'm surprised the first time didn't show a difference. I'm scheduled for April to have it done under my chin and I paying $3500 for a one-time deal. I hope it helps the hanging skin......

Kathy, please PM me on here and know how your procedure went and results. I want to get rid of my turkey neck. :-). Good Luck!

It's not going to help and you should take that same money and use it for Smartlipo. Read the reviews on here as an example. These people aren't lying when they say Ultherapy has either destroyed them or it didn't work. $3500 is no joke when you can have a for sure result immediately by smartlipo which is the tiniest hole under your chin with little downtime. Ultherapy will have downtime also. You should really compare and contrast these two. Smartlipo vs. ultherapy

Please read other reviews about this procedure on this site before doing it again. The second time around appears to have drastically bad and irreversible results.

Please let me know how your results are second time around. I got Ultherapy last August and have been very happy with the results. I was thinking of doing it a second time for my brow. Good luck!!

I would suggest that you read other reviews on this site before having the procedure again. My face was fine until a year out and then it began aging very rapidly. I believe the bone structure underneath may have been damaged. My eyes are smaller and my cheeks are sunken.
