I've wanted to do this for over 20 years. Woke up one day about a month ago and decided I wasn't putting it off any longer. A friend recommended my surgeon as the best for TT although she never had one. I scheduled a consult with him and did my homework. I was happy with him and his staff although his quote seemed higher than a lot I'd heard about. I decided you get what you pay for so went with my gut and went with Dr Wittenborn. So happy I did! The transformation is amazing. He was even able to use my original belly button which is rare in hernia repair, so he didn't have to create a new unnatural looking one. I can't even believe I lived with the stretched muscles and loose skin for so many years. When I took the before pics I was in shock looking at the pics that it was actually my stomach. No one knew what I was hiding all those years. I had become a master at concealing and covering. Due to my small petite frame no one was the wiser unless they saw me at home in my "house" clothes.
Now that I'm 8 days PO it feels surreal. I can't believe I have a new tummy. There's still lots of swelling and numbness but the Dr and his staff says it looks great and I'm progressing nicely. I eat very healthy which I did beforehand. Just have to watch salt/sodium intake. It increases swelling. I'm so excited as each day progresses and i see more of the end result. My fiancé says I look pretty hot with the swelling. ????

Wow Ive never came across this doctor before or many one post before and after stoties...right to the point! Well you look amazing. Your belly button is great. I'm wondering if it's a new technique for him, or if your belly button was just very different from most of his previous patients, because although his website is not linked, I was able to go to it and his belly buttons on his website all look very different. Just wondering cuz the belly button is one of the most important parts and I like the way yours looks. Would love to see how it looks in a couple months post op. Good luck with your healing!

Hi! I did have a very unique and different belly button than most and I hated it; especially after having my kids. I was hoping he would just get rid of it and make a nice new "innie" but I'm happy he was able to save mine. He even made it into a nice little flower. :). Not sure if it's a new technique or not. He said there was zero fat on my belly so he could not create an innie and you have to have some belly fat to do that. He's been doing this for over 14 years so I've chosen to trust him. Thanks for your message. It's nice to have this forum to talk to others about what you're going through.

I'm trying to get adjusted to this new tight tummy. I was prepared for pain and swelling but not the tightness. When I take off my surgical binder it still feels like it's on. It's very hard to stand up straight without feeling like I'm going to rip my skin open above the belly button.

Try wearing a full surgical garment that usually helps with the swelling and pain sometimes the binders move around

Finally feeling semi normal again...

Tomorrow I will be four weeks PO! Hernia repair, drainless TT and lipo of flanks. My feet and ankles are no longer swollen and I can finally get back into my favorite shoes! They were just swollen this past weekend so I'm very excited about this. The swelling and tightness above my belly button has subsided a great deal. There's still swelling below the belly button but I'm almost able to get back into my largest pants. My wardrobe at work and home has been mostly dresses and skirts with elastic waist band. After three weeks I finally started sleeping back in my bed from a recliner and am able to sleep a little more comfortable every night; with pillows underneath knees. It just feels good to be able to stand up straight and walk without feeling uncomfortable. I do find that wearing a compression garment during the day is very helpful; adds extra support during the healing process. I wear my surgical binder to bed at night which helps me to move around a little easier.
