So happy to hear everything went well and you have a great support team. I'm on my second day out from SX and have had no energy and no appetite. I'm forcing some protein. Egg and protein powder. Slowly but surely. Happy healing!
Happy healing to you too. As u know I'm 1 day behind u so I'm 1 day po. I am so tight and sore right now, but greatful that I'm ok. I had to cough today and boy oh boy .. did that hurt, hoping not to ever do that again while healing. Drinking loads but not eating much , no appetite. PS called me this morning to check up on me which I thought was super sweet. Post op visit in 1 week if all goes well. Take care and God bless !!
Nirenl - how are u today ? How are u feeling ?
This is rough, not going to lie, but I am surviving. This is the first time I've been on my laptop as opposed to my phone. My last percocet was 1/2 a pill at 3am this morning. I took 2 ES Tylenol at 9am and so far so good. My follow up appt is Wednesday. Honestly I'm not very curious about how I look, I just want to feel better. I've had many moments of regret but KNOW I will be happy I did this some day. That day can't get here soon enough. :) Like you, I'm grateful, SO grateful, that I am okay. I'm forcing tiny meals heavy on protein because I feel so weak. Today I think I'm standing up a bit straighter, which thrills me. Lots of love and healing to you, friend. We will look back one day and be very grateful for our capable bodies!
So happy it's a done deal for you! Can't wait to see your after pics! You're gonna be stunning!! I know you're feeling a bit rough but everyday will be a day closer to full healing and rocking that new bod! :)xxxxx
You are so right trishywishy ... it's rough at the moment , my back feels like it's on fire from constantly hunched over ,, my arm and leg muscles are so sore from taking the weight off my core, my incision area burns like hell ... I feel miserable ... but I can't wait to see the end results. And yes, once this bandage comes off I will post some pics.
I know u are counting down for your big day , but if u don't get anything else, get yourself a walker ... it will literally save your life. So while I heal, I'm excited for u and I'm counting down with u too .... good luck when your day comes !!

I totally agree with you .... this is tuff stuff ... really underestimated PO... my back is on fire , first I had ice packs on it , then I had to change to hot water bottles -- crikey !!! I am nowhere standing up straight ,, my tummy is so tight OMG , im now starting to wonder if 3 weeks will be enough for to recover. I only take Tylenol myself , don't think I need Percocet at the moment. But I holding on and taking each day as it comes. Be sure to drink, drink, drink . Good luck with healing
Hi Loo22! You should be on day 6PO day. How are you doing? I hope everyday is a bit better.
Hey Nirenl ... where have u been ... was thinking u have disappeared with excitement on your new tummy (smile) . Yes I am day 6 and everything is starting to feel better thank God. I'm beginning to walk a bit straighter, still hunched over, but much much better so back pain has improved. Tomorrow would have been my 1 week post op visit but I was called in earlier today because of the expected hurricane. See, I live in the hurricane zone. So I went to see my PS this afternoon, she was quite pleased with my result and progress, and I am too. One drain was removed today , the other will be out at a later date. So thank God , so far so good. So I know u are 1 week po, how is your progress so far? Is everything going as expected? I hope you. Take care of yourself and happy healing, as we wait to see our new and improved bodies !!
LOL, did I disappear? :) Just posted on your new update. Now that we've made it past the first week, I'm even more excited about our eventual results. Woo hoo!!

Good luck today! I had mine yesterday. I'm groggy and sleepy but hanging in there. God bless you!
Thank you ... hope all w my well. Had mine this morning at 9 am. Thanks be to Hod everything went well and I'm hope recovering. Can't keep my eyes open for long, feeling very sore and fragile ... but thank God for my A-Team support system (my two daughters) I'm just taking it as it comes. Hope the same for u
I am doing so much better than last week. Saw my PS Tuesday, everything looks good, incision closed, swelling minimal. I see him again on Monday when he will remove my BB stitches and I after that appt I can begin scar treatment on my incision. I don't have drains (used Tissuglu) so that I'm very pleased fluid has not been a problem. My challenges now are sleeping, straightening, and feeling faint when binder is off. I cannot get comfortable sleeping on my back and any other position is not an option. Last night I got 6 hours broken up, I'd love more. Oh well. I'm eager to stand straighter so that I can get around more without back pain. I have to keep in mind that I'm so much improved from even 3 days ago, I'm rarely using the walker anymore, although most of my time is still resting anyway. I've only removed my binder 3 times, once at the PS office, and twice yesterday to get in and out of a shaper. All 3 times I feel immediately light headed, clammy and have to sit or lie down. There's no way I could shower so it's continued sponge baths for me. Patience is the name of the game, right?
I'm sorry to hear you're in the path of the hurricane. How deep in the path? Any chance you'd have to evacuate mid-recovery. Gosh, I hope not! May God bless you and keep you safe. Happy healing!
