Days 4 & 5
Day 4--a little stir crazy. Feel good and look green. A friend lovingly told me I resembled Kermit the Frog. She's correct. Frog with monkey ears, stitches make my little ears poke out.
Day 5--even more green. Dr. Sassani removed some stitches around my ears this morning. He's very pleased with results. So am I. Went to lunch with friends. Lots of stares in the busy parking lot. Was hoping someone would mention my bruised face. I so wanted to clench my fists and reply in my best Rocky voice, "Yeah, well, you should have seen the other guy." Chewed solid food without issue. Lunch and driving the twenty minutes to, and then from, the restaurant was tiring. My teens have pals over. Froggy monkey mama has been banished to her room. Ever see the episode of Arrested Development when Lucille gets a face lift? Hysterical! Re-watched it on Netflix and laughed at our similarities :-)

3 Days post surgery
Feeling more swollen and green around the gills today. Still eating soft/mushy foods as it hurts to chew anything harder than a blueberry muffin.
2 Days post surgery
I was more tired today than yesterday. Good thing I took a nap before washing my hair. It was quite the task--four rounds of shampooing and two deep conditionings and I still feel crusty-headed. Good thing Dr. Sassani warned me that there'd be some hair in the drain. Worried for a moment that Edward ScissorHands was helping me lather and rinse :-O
