I am an African American female that suffered from traction Alopecia. I decided to do a hair transplant on Sept 28th 2016! I had the FUT strip procedure done. The experience wasn't bad at all, the procedure isn't painful. I think if anyone is considering a hair transplant you should go for it. Min pain

2 weeks after Hair transplant

Donor area! Incision site 2 1/2 weeks post op...already hair growth and you can barely see the incision ????????

Here are pics of the donor area after the sutures were removed.. this is 2 and half weeks post surgery. Incision is hardly noticeable and hair is already growing back.

3 months after FUT procedure..

It's been 3 months and this is the growth so far, I think I'm happy with the progress so far.. doctor said I should see growth at the 3-4 month mark. Some ladies that had same doctor said 4 month when it really takes off...You can see the area with no hair we didn't have enough grafts to cover all my bald areas since we used some to move the hairline down :( but I'm hoping it thickens up enough to cover it..

Ingrown Hairs and cobblestone ????

I'm a little over 3 months and have been getting these bumps or ingrown Hairs on my scalp in the transplanted area. And the cobblestone look is very noticeable.. Have anyone else experience this?

4 month update

These are my 4 month results, I was hoping to see more growth but I understand that it takes time.. on the photos you can see the areas that are completely bald, we didn't have enough grafts for those areas but I am hoping it grows thick enough in front to cover it

6 month update

Here's my 6 month review, I was hoping to see more growth.. from the looks of it I will probably need a 2nd transplant. We weren't able to graft the entire bald areas so now I'm hoping it grows long enough in front to cover the remaining bald spots. I have 6 more months till I will see my FINAL results so we will see then how things look.
