Affirm Laser to Minimize Pores and Lighten Dark Spots - Fort Lauderdale, FL

I have been meaning to try affirm for some time now. I live in South Florida, a place where most women dabble in cosmetic surgery and or procedures. I love and completely trust the doctor and staff at Shinobay here in Fort Lauerdale, FL. I was able to see people, both in person and via pictures, who had done affirm laser treatments. The results spoke for themselves and the people I was able to speak with all had amazing reviews for Dr. Aguillera as well as Amy Grote. I had my treatment done yesterday morning and I am one day post op. They applied numbing cream to my face prior to the procedure which helped a great deal at making it manageable. The laser hurt a tiny bit but was exactly what I expected it to be. To describe it better, I would say its equivalent to someone snapping your face with a rubber band(sorry for the horrible analogy). The cold air that Amy blasts helps a lot. The treatments last approximately 20 minutes so its fairly quick. Immediately after you'll experience a burning/tingling experience in your face but again, its all manageable. I didn't ice since I had to run errands. I was advised to ice and keep my face moisturized. When I got home I cleansed my face with a gently face wash and patted it dry. Then I applied squalane oil as well as some aquaphor to the area around my upper cheek and eyes. The pain and tingling had stopped about an hour after the procedure, it was great. Today is the day after my laser treatment and I feel great, my skin feels a tiny bit tight but not anything too noticeable. There is some discoloration as to be expected but truly I look as if I had been in the sun for too long. Like a really really bad sun burn. When I touch my face, its a tiny bit sensitive as well but not painful at all. This morning I applied arnica gel to my cheeks as they were a tiny bit puffy and its been a few hours and I already notice the puffiness subsiding. I saw amazing results on other patients and I am very very confident that I will too be just as happy. I'll keep you all posted...

Its been 10 days since my Affirm treatment and I am beyond happy with the results. My skin is so smooth, the dark spots and acne scars I had are fading fast. The people at our office at see me daily have all told me that my skin looks amazing and "bright". I no longer have any discoloration, I did have some post treatment for a few days but not anymore. I also experienced some dry patches but nothing I didn't expect. That dry skin all came off with white vinegar and water washes and witch hazel pads. I love this treatment and would recommend people to have it done, BUT only after doing extensive research regarding the person who will be performing it. I did plenty of research on this laser and read many stories that may have scared me off however you must know that most of the time when things go wrong its due to the person utilizing the laser, not the actual laser. Lasers can be extremely effective when used correctly. They can also do tremendous damage when used incorrectly. I love ShinoBay and wouldn't go anywhere else.

WOOHOOO!! I absolutely love love love this laser treatment. I had such amazing results after the first one that I had to have a second just for a few, now very tiny, spots of hyper pigmentation. Just as I was told, my skin became brighter, smoother and almost flawless. Its unbelievable how effective this treatment is. My skin looks and feels so much better than it ever has before. I recommend this laser treatment however please go to a skilled professional. The user is far more important than the treatment. Ive done so much reading and have asked many physicians, the truth is that lasers can be extremely dangerous in the wrong hands. They can destroy and irreversible scar skin if used at the wrong frequency, on the wrong setting etc. Please do research the person you are going to, it makes all the difference. In the right hands, Affirm is amazing and I highly recommend it. My skin looks 10 years younger. I don't think I'll be needing a third treatment since my results were so fantastic after the first. This second treatment was just to erase the very very tiny spots that remained.
