She was confused as to why my skin was reacting with his way. I have now moved on to others for help.

I had CO2 laser on my right cheek over 10 years ago. Even using a low setting, the skin on my cheek was very badly burnt, but slowly healed over the next two years. Your skin will heal, it will just take time. Laser is not a quick fix. It comes with many side effects and no guarantees. Unless your skin already has equal damage to that a laser CAN do-- don't do it.

That makes me feel better. I agree about the amount of damage that should justify the treatment. It's not for minor skin issues. I hate the irregular texture. I wasn't a good candidate despite what the medspa said. My skin is too sensitive and thin (more so now!)

Hi firepile. First, very sorry for your experience...first and foremost do not lose hope! I've had some not good plastic surgery. There is ALWAYS a way to fix things. Maybe not perfection, but pretty darned good. The human body and skin are very resilient. Your skin is working hard to repair itself under the surface. It will take time but hang in there!
Second, if you have photos posted I can't see them. Maybe because my office computer is blocking them...Or you removed them. I'll look from home later. I am curious as to your age, because that could make a difference in your initial skin condition and recovery time. But, what happened to you should not have happened! I certainly hope you GOT YOUR $$ BACK SO YOU CAN PAY SOMEONE ELSE TO HELP YOU. If not, I would DISPUTE THE CHARGE FOR SURE!
It is interesting that no P.S. (plastic surgeons) have commented on your post(?)
I am scheduled for CO2 laser treatment in 2 days! I do not know what type of CO2 they are using tho. I need to find out because that makes a difference. Also, I would NOT trust estheticians to use those powerful lasers on my face. ONLY a doctor! I used to work in a laser clinic. Clinics offer cheaper deals, but very little training is required for someone to be "Certified" to administer treatments. CO2 lasers are serious business!
Keep positive, meditate and imagine your skin healing. Do it when you get in bed at night, or whatever. Just close your eyes and envision your skin healing, turning beautiful and glowing. The mind is powerful. So is your skin. Do not lose hope. With another good doctor or two, some great topical serums, lotions, whatever recommended, and maybe some very gentle healing light (like StimLight, the anti-wrinkle version was used for wound healing in the past I'm told). It stimulates collagen, VERY gentle. But, go to a good Plastic Surgeon or Dermatologist and see what they can hook you up with. All the best, I'll keep my eye on you, Lady!

Thank you for your inspirational words! I did have some pictures on here but opened one of my Realself emails one morning and saw my damaged face right on top of the news feed! It was upsetting to me so I removed it. I'm under the care of a good dermatologist who has prescribed some topicals for me to use. I've been told to wait a year before panicking, but it's hard. I probably just need to accept it.

Hi,
I totally understand why you removed your photos. Hey, I'm not brave enough to post any I'll tell ya that! Honestly, this plastic surgery/laser/face "rejuvination" stuff is a total GAMBLE. Just look at celebrities. They can afford the best of the BEST doctors, they have $Gazillions of dollars, yet many of them look like Frankenstein gone wrong, or Creature from the Black Lagoon! If THEY can't turn out looking awesome how are we, the "common people", supposed to? Heck, my Groupon eyelid lift looks better than some of those Hollywood celebs, let me tell ya--Sheeeshhh!! (Um, Groupon eyelid lift no bueno).
But seriously....yes, you could "accept" what you have now...move forward, enjoy life while your skin is improving!
Again, our skin is very resilient. It is constantly remodeling and turning over new cells. One thing's for sure, it cannot remain the same!
There are many great lotions, potions, doctors and treatments out there to prevent you from giving up. You just need a great doctor and some time! The time is the hardest part...I know.
I'm going for SandStone laser TOMORROW! But, by a plastic surgeon. I told him less is more, I do not want my whole face burned off. We take these risks because many people do get good results. When we look in the mirror, and day after day we don't like what we see, it's time to do something. Can't blame a human for trying, right?! All the best ; )
All the best.... ; )

Good luck tomorrow. Less is more for sure. Thank you for your encouragement snd support! It means the world to me right now.
