I am so excited that I am finally getting a much needed Mommy Makeover! I am 40 years old, 5'9", and weigh 155. I have always wanted a BA. However, my beautiful kiddos left me with a 9.5cm diastasis! I guess you really can't go from weighing 115 prior to kids to 185 in 9 Months and comeback from that. So here I am preparing for a complete overhaul. My surgery is June 28th. Wish me luck! I'm scared!

I feel your pain! Went from 110lbs @5'1" to 170lbs before delivery of my sweet girl. I was also 45 and that definitely didn't help! My MM is scheduled for June 21 so I'm just before you. I'll be having a lift, slight reduction and implants for upper pole fullness and the tummy tuck with all the trimmings.
Good luck and hang in there!

So sorry you're in pain! The first 5 days are brutal. I'm a week and 2 days out and I promise you it'll get better VERY soon! I actually have very little pain now, just soreness and uncomfortable from the insicion sites. Stay on top of those meds and I promise you by the end of your first week you will feel a whole lot better! Hang in there and remember IT WILL BE WORTH IT!!!

That's good to know. I think the worst part is coughing!! Holy moly! I'm trying to stay positive :)

I actually had a few coughing fits and felt as if my muscles were going to rip apart! My PS actually said "try to limit coughing". huh? How the heck do you do that?! She said through your nose and keep yourself hydrated. The nose thing did help a little. I'm 10 days out and I'm up and feeling really good this morning! You're gonna get there! Have you looked at yourself yet? First time I did it was kind of like looking at Frankenstein's bride version of myself! And when you go to touch your stomach ya really freak out cause its numb which is all kinds of weird. Oh and you should definitely consider something along the lines of Colace if you're really taking the pain meds on the four to six hour basis. Trust me I don't have those kinds of issues but I definitely needed it.

That's great news that you're up and around day 10! There are definitely have some coughs that cannot be controlled! Those are the worst!! I haven't looked at myself yet. To be honest I just don't feel up to it. I have seen my stomach a little during bandage changes. It looks good! I'm sure it's still much bigger than it will be in the end. And I couldn't agree more on the colace. Things could get a little stressful!!

So glad to hear you're doing well! Gives me hope :)

Getting Nervous!!

ColoradoMomma
My surgery is in 3 days!! I'm starting to get nervous. Last night I cried myself to sleep. I feel some guilt because of my kids. I think things like, what if my kids are left without a Mom because of an elective surgery? I know it's terrible but these are the things I occasionally think about. Having said that, I'm excited too! I have been waiting for the abdominal muscle repair for 9 years!! And the breast augmentation since puberty!
2 more sleeps until surgery day!!!
