1 yr Post Op- Before and After Pic

So a year has gone by, 90 pounds gone and a healthy 5 month old baby. This journey has been incredible and I am so glad that I went through the whole process. I am currently looking to loose another 15 pounds before going in to get some skin removal surgery. Since I got pregnant right after my surgery I was advised not to work out and if I did only light cardio. So I lost a lot of muscle and became flabby, I am going to gym and trying to watch my diet I only cheat on the weekends (we all deserve a little fun). But overall its all good, I encourage anyone who is having doubts to think about the results and any pain will be worth it!

Almost 3 months post-op and I find out Im pregnant!!

So I don't know where to turn so I figured let me write to some ppl that have had my surgery. So here goes.
I'm almost 3 months post op and have lost a total of 40p since. Everything was going great, but I've been experiencing really bad nausea and gas reflex for the past month, I'm not tolerating foods like I was before so I take a visit to my surgeon who thinks it might be my esophagus and orders me to have an X-ray with dye done and puts me on anti-nausea meds and antic acid meds. So I was scheduled for the Xray today but they wont do it unless I have a pregnancy test done previously so I went to see my PCP yesterday to my surprise the test comes back positive and I'm like it cant be so my PCP does a blood test and I get the call today that I'm definitely pregnant, about a month he says.
Now, I have been on birth control since forever and since surgery I continued to take it I only stopped like for two weeks after surgery, where I wasn't sexually active. So to me this is a total shock, I don't even know where to start I scheduled an apt. with my surgeon and my obgyn for tomorrow. I can't imagine what my surgeon is going to tell me, this was not planned, my husband and I had our mind set for next year to start having kids. I just had surgery I'm just super worried this is going to affect the baby, I 100% want my baby its a blessing, definitively a miracle I can say since I kept taking my pills. I've never been pregnant before this is my first.
I wonder has anyone gone through this? I need as much info/advice I can get right now.

1 month post-op anniversary summary

Well all I can really say is that I finally feel normal again!
As of today I'm 29.2 pounds down since my surgery, I continue to focus on doing my weights and have 1 protein shake a day with my two protein meals for the rest of the day.
I myself don't see much of a difference others do, I have to work on that always looking fat image I have of myself. Although some days I feel slimmer others I don't.
I drink a tea called Ballerina Tea, that helps me with my bowels, cause nothing else really works.
I was taking biotin 10,000 for the last 4-5 months today I started with Hair, Skin & Nails since its packed with other vitamins not just biotin like I was taking. I started to use medicated hair drops for hair loss which I have used in the pass when I had a bad salon experience and lost a good amount of hair. The drops seem to be slowing down the hair loss, hopefully it stops completely.
Another thing is that I'm usually always tired but I try to avoid paying to much attention to it, now that I can actually swallow my pills I'm going to take my B12 vitamins, I hated the taste of crushed pills so I avoided a some of my pills.
My goal is to be 220 by March 11th since I'm going to start the gym and not only Working out at home, I'm rooting for my inner skinny girl to kick ass and meet my goal!
So that's pretty much it, this surgery has taught me to listen to my stomach when enough is enough, to look at all the ingredients when grocery shopping and end up with fresh foods only, it's shown me that after 1 month of no carbs I'm awesome and I can do this. All roads are hard when we have never traveled through them, but once you commit and keep pushing through you will be amazed at what you can accomplish. This surgery is a tool not a miracle, it's 50% surgery and 50% you. After you go home it's up to you to make the right food decisiones and it's up to you to commit to a better, healthier and stronger you.

Provider Review

Dr. Allison Marie Barrett

She is a very nice lady and answers all your questions with no rush. On my first appointment I went with a list of questions which she answered in detail and made sure I understood each and every part of the surgery.
