I Had a Horrible Experience.
On the 17/10/24, I did a forehead reduction with Dr. Cengizhan and my overall experience was a nightmare.
On the 16/10/24, I had a face to face consultation with Dr. Cengizhan where he recommend that I do bone shaving with the forehead reduction for a more aesthetically pleasing look. I trusted him and agreed to go ahead with it (No extra cost was mentioned at all and all paperwork had been signed with the agreed total amount for the surgery being 5000 Euro - This is without accommodation; this price only included the surgery, medication, transport & PRP). The next morning I arrive at the hospital and am being prepared for my surgery. Dr. Cengizhan enters my room and draws out the mapping on my forehead for the reduction + the bone shaving and then proceeds to leave my room (I am still not advised of ANY extra costs at this time)
A little while later, 2 nurses came into my room and started to wheel me into the operating room. Before we could make it into the operating room, I was stopped and advised that the bone shaving is going to cost an extra 2500 Euro. They told me I have 1 minute to decide before entering the operation room if i want to go ahead or not.
I was very shocked and felt very under pressure as I was already nervous. I agreed as I felt rushed and could not think properly as i had 1 minute to decide. I find it highly unprofessional that this happened, I should have been advised of the extra costs during the consultation the day before NOT while being wheeled into the operating room and given 1 minute to make a decision.
The next morning after surgery, a male nurse entered my room alone and I experienced a very inappropriate incident. (I am unable to go into detail as my review will be taken down if I do)
On the 21/10/24, I went back to the hospital for my Control Check. As soon as i met with Dr. Cengizhan, I advised him of what had happened. They gave me a paper to fill in for a formal complaint and multiple management staff was called into the room and they had a discussion in Turkish.
Afterwards, I discussed with Dr. Cengizhan that I was also unhappy with what happened while being wheeled into the operating room. I was then offered a 8% refund of the 2500 Euro (€200) and they would not take accountability for their mistake and blamed me for not being “clear”. My overall costs (after my 8% refund) was €7,300 when the agreed total was €5000.
1 week after my control check, I put up a review on google detailing my experience and they contacted me immediately (NO ONE contacted me at all to check up on my recovery until i put up a review). The lady on the phone tried to put the blame on me and asked me to take down my review. After a long phone call, i told them i would not be taking the review down. A few days later, I check on my google review and it has disappeared and I have no idea why.
I am now left with trauma and regret.
