Forehead “shaping” and brow lift - no longer have a windows peak

Half Year Update

WORTH IT$14,500
Still in awe of Dr. Attenello’s work. I wear my hair up all the time and I’ve pointed right at my hairline to a few people and they don’t see a thing. I can, but it’s nearly imperceptible. The endotine is 80% dissolved. I can still feel it but much smaller. The feeling in my scalp is returned 90% I would say. It’s like you have layers of nerves and although I can feel 100% of the top of my scalp I can tell some “layers” aren’t in full feeling yet if that makes sense.
Also I have tons of baby hairs so where I had shock loss previously or some small bald patches they are now completely full. I still get some itching here and there but it’s almost gone.
I am very happy, and impressed!

Hi! Any advice on treating shock loss? I’m currently six weeks post op and have significant loss at hairline and I’m so worried! Do you recall how long the hair loss phase lasted for you? Thanks so much ❤️
Hi I’m so sorry you’re experiencing that. My shock loss was so small I didn’t realize I actually had loss until these gaps just started filling in like magic….so I think that point where the hair started coming in was my 2 months update. So hang in there another few weeks and let me know if you see baby hairs - you should. I did nothing to that area and I honestly wouldn’t try anything drastic right now. Just wait 2-3 more weeks. I DO however oil my hair with Mama Earth bringraj amla oil (not sure how you spell it), and I don’t think that would hurt at all but give it some nourishment. It’s primarily a sesame seed oil base….
hi! i'm so so sorry to hear that. surgery takes a huge emotional toll. i'm preparing for my surgery in a couple weeks, but i'm terrified of shock loss. i'm only having 1-1.25cm lowered. if you don't mind me asking, how much did you have lowered? and who was your surgeon?
Just checking in on you! Did you have your surgery? I’m at about the 12 week mark and my hair is growing back in. If you lose any hair just try to stay relaxed knowing it’s temporary!
So happy yours is growing back. I’m OP. All of it is back.
Is your shock loss getting better? :)
Yes!!! Thank goodness haha! It’s growing back so quickly
That’s a relief. So happy for you. :)
I have awkward bang phase the past few months.
Mine was about the same! 1.5cms most of the shock loss is in the middle where it seems like my sutures were tied. It has not gotten any worse since I posted two weeks ago but also not any better yet either. I’m hopeful now that I’m almost at the two month mark I’ll see improvements. I don’t think it’s anything the surgeon did or could’ve prevented. The shock loss just kind of makes me look like I did before the surgery so I’m mostly just feeling impatient for my final results and to be able to wear my hair back. Try not to stress that only makes recovery harder. Good luck and keep us posted!!
Were you able to tell you liked your result before stitches came out? I still have mine in, but afraid my new hairline is too low
For the hairline lowering/shaping yes. For the brow lift no - I looked like a green bruised alien for a week or two. Even at 2-3weeks the swelling still caused my eyelids to look funky. Now they’re amazing. As for the hairline lowering I’m sure you’ll be fine. Hairlines aren’t lowered more than 1-2cm and it may look extreme now, but I’m sure overall the result is subtle yet impactful. How far are you out?
Okay I see you’re one week out. Relax. Also Herman Munster actually has a huge forehead….the shock loss and the stitches will make you look like Frankenstein at first. I am 6 months out and to me my hairline just looks very dense and full and I also have wild bangs since I’m going through an awkward bang phase from the new hair regrowth.
Ha, true about Herman Munster. However, even when I put my hands over the stitches, the hairline is below the curve of my head. I'm hoping it's just being pulled down by the stitches, and will relax a bit.
where did you do it and who is your dr?

2-3 months post op

Here are some official post op photos! So happy. By the way at about 6 weeks my head started itching like crazy, it still does. Not unbearable though. But the upside is that I’ve regained a lot of feeling back as well. Lots of hairs growing. The incision is undetectable in pictures.

I tried putting scar cream on the incision once but it took me back to those days having Vaseline in my hair and the incision looks so nice anyway, I don’t think I’ll bother except wearing hats if I’m going to be outside for long periods of time.

2 Month Update

I want to say that my kind of angled eyebrows and asian eyelids toned down a lot as the swelling went away and my eyebrows look very natural now and I feel like myself, just fresher! My eyelids had some strange swelling that caused interesting hooding in places which almost looked a different ethnicity (I had accepted it at first, then realized it was swelling as it magically went away) and my eyelids finally look totally balanced. Patience is the game here. Although my brows are definitely higher, the illusion is as if I actually had a bleph which is interesting and also one of my main goals.

Apparently I had some telogen effluvium (shock loss) without realizing I had it, because recently a few of the bald patches I had near some of the incision have begun to fill in. They were small enough that I originally thought it was just the result I was left with and accepted it. It was at my temples and possibly at my widow peak area but not sure about the second one.

Sometimes the incision is almost invisible, sometimes it’s very red. This is pretty much the same behavior I’ve seen with most other incisions from any surgery.

My scalp is occasionally itchy and rarely I do get little prickly feelings but the annoyance is a 1-2 out of 10. I can tell the feeling in my scalp is returning, it’s just very slow.

I’d definitely return to Dr Attenello for other procedures down the road.

Widows peak sign of beauty and you didn't have a widows peak. Get a new hobby.
Maybe you should find a different hobby besides putting other people down. Have a good weekend.
