Forehead Reduction Journey

$9,200
So I’ve had a forehead reduction that went sideways. I had a horrible infection, hair loss above the scar and in the crown. I underwent PRP that was excruciatingly painful then a hair transplant out of desperation. This is it, I’m done throwing money at my head. Overall I’m satisfied w my hairline, I’m disappointed with how horrible it was between my infection and hair loss nightmare. I feel i didn’t receive the kind of support I should have from my dr especially after spending so much money on this. Nevertheless, here’s the picture of my hair recovery.

Whats the point of a review if you wont tell us the dr. It would help other people
Hi there! i feel you on this. I had the same procedure. Two years laters im left with a white scar along my hairline and some bald spot du to shock loss. I still have areas numb completely. I wish i would have made more reasearch on this procedure. My surgeon told me that my hair would grow back in the scar but that was not the case at all. And he never told me about shock loss or permenant numbing.
Yes! Huge disappointment! I have bald areas still despite getting a hair transplant. This is just what I'm going to have to live with now. Anyone considering this procedure, I would say don't do it!!!
Same girl. No hair growth in my scar, it’s super white and I’m dark skinned. Sigh. Time to get another surgery I don’t need- hair transplants.
I’m sorry we are all experiencing this. It truly is a nightmare. I’m only 8 months out. My hair has not recovered at the incision sites and never will. They never tell you this risk. I was not informed of bone tunnels being drilled in my scalp on my right side. How in the world did he not feel I should be informed about this? I would never have consented to doing an endoscopic brow lift had I known. Now my scalp is dented and deformed. My brows are just as asymmetrical and now their contour is worse. The brow lift aesthetically ruined my upper eyelids. They look hollow. This has been a true nightmare. Reversing a brow lift is worse than going up I am told. I wish I had a “rewind” button and never did this procedure.
Hey girl, how’s it going? I read your story- I feel the same way. Major post surgery regret. All for a hairline. Has your hairline finally met your expectations? How have people in your life reacted to the change?
I have a white line that I'm just kind of use to now and i still have some hair loss in my crown that I now use hair fibers to camouflage. I take Viviscal to help with the density I lost from this surgery. This was a huge epic fail, but I'm trying to deal with it the best I can. I should've gone with Dr. Gal Aharanov. That guy is the expert in this procedure. My mistake totally. He produces exceptional outcomes.
Girl, same. I feel you. Have you thought about getting grafts to cover up the scar? That’s what I’m planning to do and I’m hoping it covers it all.

Do people notice the white line? Does anyone notice? I’m not open about my surgery which is why I want grafts- I want to conceal all evidence lol and out this behind me. It’s been an epic fail for me too :(
I got some grafts in the front but the crown was my main issue. The hair they took from the back of my head is a different texture than the hair in the front so it's coarse and kinky. My head is a bit of a hot mess. That said, i will not be undergoing any more procedures on my head. I've had it. I should've just left my head the way the big guy made it to begin with.
Why did you get hair loss in the crown area if it was a forehead reduction surgery, I don't understand?
Sigh. I feel you girl. 3

Exactly 2 years later

My hair in my crown never really came back. I am not going to live the rest of my life with a big bald spot. I’m frustrated that I had to have another procedure to try and get my hair to come back. I had a hair transplant in June. I have no idea if it’s going to take. I won’t know until February if I start to see any growth. I’m really angry that I had to throw thousands of dollars at my head when it wasn’t my fault. Venting over.

Hi! Quick update photo! It’s been a really long road to recovery, but I love my new forehead. I would never wear long bangs before and now I never want shoe bangs again. The hair in my crown area is slowly returning, as long as I keep seeing less scalp, it’s a win.

Looks so good now! I’m wantin it done so bad but I’m experiencing telogen Effluvium from most likely stress so I wonder if it’s best to do it right now . I was looking at Jeffery Epstein but now I don’t know
I’m looking at Dr Jeffery Epstein too!!!
I think his charges$$ are better than these I see overseas. Which I would not travel to do!!
Hair loss is a real risk with this surgery. I honestly did not research the procedure enough. Had I known, I likely wouldn't have done it. I still have huge bald areas in the crown area. The only solution is probably grafts. I'm not sure who Dr. Epstein is but ensure you're going to someone who does this procedure more than anything else in their practice.
What a fantastic result. You look great!
Thank you. I'm happy with the hairline, I'm still suffering from hair loss though. I might need some grafts. It's been a long road...
Hey, how come you got hair loss in crown area??
