Scalped and Scarred

On April 25,2022, Dr. Ross Clevens performed a hairline advancing browlift, along with several other procedures. It was the most painful and disfiguring cosmetic surgery that I’ve ever experienced.

Unlike other similar surgeries posted on RealSelf, my incision, sutures and healing were a nightmare. The incision was a straight line across my forehead to the skull.He shaved my head in the area of the surgery. It was sutured under extreme tension and my forehead looked like Frankenstein’s monster. He didn’t see me until 3 weeks post op at which time I asked if he did the surgery himself. I saw his staff in the interim. His ARNP, Samira, thought healing was normal, even though the incision had opened and the area had pus and smelled. I told her it was necrotic and she denied it and handed me a tube of Bacitracin.

There is now a concavity in my forehead from the infection and an ugly scar across my forehead. I'm too embarrassed to go to a salon.The crown of my head remains numb and itches horribly. This is almost 16 months post surgery. I can’t imagine why Dr Clevens recommended such a procedure for a patient in her 70s.
