So it’s been almost 8 months and I love love love the results!… Dr. Attenelo did an amazing job, my scar is so small you can’t tell I had anything done. My scar has hypo pigmented but everyone’s scar heals differently you can’t really see it though and my hair has grown over the scar so it doesn’t matter. My sensation in my scalp has come back. I’m so blessed I had the money to get this done. Results are amazing I’m so happy I found Dr. Attenelo

Week 4 update
So I’ve still been wearing bangs only because the scar is not all the way lightened yet , & I have a small hematoma that’s on the right side of my temple that is noticeable. I’m slowly gaining sensation on my scalp , but there’s still an area on the top by incision that’s numb.
Overall , I really wish I would’ve done this years ago like in my twenties. I am 40 years old now & still young, but I had to deal with years & years of wearing hats while jogging, hating windy days, not getting my head all the way wet while swimming, wearing bangs my whole life, & kids teasing in elementary/ middle school. The initial horrible pain, nausea the first day, & recovery time is 100% worth it! I highly recommend.

Hi! Just wanted to check in. Are you still happy with your results?
Yes I LOVE the results. I really truly wish I got this done years ago . It would have saved me a lot of heartache. I will do an updated review

My scar is getting lighter, just a little more red in some areas where the staples were. My scalp still feels numb… it feels like I’m wearing a wig still… i know it’s due to the feeling coming back & I still feel tender where the staples were. I can’t wait to start working out again & dying my hair. Lol… I still have my bangs not by choice I just want to hide the scar since it’s still a little noticeable. I’m still real happy I did the procedure. The healing process is the hardest part. Also off topic that know matter how much money you spend on yourself it doesn’t buy happiness. I’ve had a tummy tuck ten years ago, liposuction 4 years ago, & breast implants 8 years ago , & now this & im still critiquing myself with my body ect. I know it sounds cliche but happiness does come from within. No surgery can fix that. Just my two cents lol.

Hi. Getting my surgery in 2 days. So SO nervous but I know what impact this will have on my self-esteem. I have never been insecure about anything else. But my forehead has caused me to wear hats and scarves everywhere since the age of 12. I know happiness does come from within, as you stated, but sometimes that means fixing something on the outside. So happy you got great results!
Thank you!.. best of luck to you with your surgery. You won’t regret it I love my results… it’s the healing part you have to be patient with lol.
Hi, Your results are beautiful. You mentioned you were not able to move your eyebrows or forehead. Has that movement come back? Thanks.
Thank you!.. yes I’m goin on week three & the movement is back… still numb on the scalp, but it is slowly coming back. I wish I would’ve done this surgery years ago my surgeon did a wonderful job!
Thank you for your response. I’m so glad to hear the movement is back. I had a consultation with Dr.Attenello last year. I’ve been going back and forth on doing it for some time now. I’m an actress, so I’m just worried about taking too much time off. Realistically, how long do you think I’d need to book out. I currently have bangs, so I would be able to hide the incision. Again, thank you so much for your insight.
For the post op I can’t workout for a month, do heavy lifting ect … I have a remote nurse job & also am an esthetician as a side business & started working as an Esthetician again a week after procedure… I was able to hide incision with a headband. However , it depends on how physical your acting job is?… if you’re doing stunts or an action type film I would wait a full month. I feel I should have given myself an extra week off from my esthetician job. It’s not a super physical job but just the bending down, leaning , reaching over while waxing ect. The sides of your head like where the temples are & the incision will feel very tender still & you don’t want to do anything that may hinder the proper healing process or make the scar stretch if that makes sense. Sorry kind of a long response lol… feel free to ask me anything else. Dr. Attenelo is by far the best surgeon I’ve had. She will make sure you’re fully taken care of.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your process throughout this journey. It’s extremely helpful. My job is pretty low key. I just need to make sure I can hide my incision if I book a job or have a self tape during that time. I was planning to book out for about eight days.
You’re welcome anytime! Yeah you’ll be able to hide incision… I hid my incision from my older kids they had no clue what I did. Lol
I had a consultation with Dr. Attenelo and she really does make you feel comfortable. Your results look natural! She did a great job. I didn’t go through with the reduction…yet…I keep thinking about it but I get so scared about the first day post-op. I’ve never had surgery before :/
