Forehead Reduction / Hairline Lowering Complications

I had a forehead reduction (hairline lowering) surgery little over 2 months ago and experienced a more difficult recovery than expected.

Post-op, I developed infection and persistent inflammation and multiple spitting sutures, which led to open areas and delayed healing. While this has been gradually improving, it required extended wound care still going.

Weeks later, I began experiencing extensive shock hair loss across the frontal scalp and side incision area. The severity and spread of the hair loss have been extremely distressing and were not something I prepared for. Although some healing is occurring, I am still dealing with ongoing hair loss and uncertainty regarding regrowth.
It seems like what was left is my baby hairs/flyaways and mostly my matured that is falling, though it’s seem like I peaked hair loss last week and I’m seeing decreased.
I visited the dermatologist and was told not to worry about it and it’ll grow back but I can’t help but wonder! I’m sharing my experience so others can be fully informed about potential complications and recovery risks.
