Forehead Reduced Finally!

Healing slowly but surely

So I’m 10 days post op now and so much better. In absolutely no more pain, the pain was gone by about day 3 or 4 and I stopped taking pain meds. When I went back for my post op appointment the nurse washed my hair and incision with medical shampoo which they gave me a 6 month supply of, and gave me a cream and ointment to mix together and apply to my incision 3 times a day for 1 month while it heals. They gave me hair pills to take, oil to apply to my hair and a vitamin spray to put on my freshly cleaned hair. They also gave me St. John’s wort oil to apply to the dimpling of my forehead and massage it twice a day to promote the swelling to go down which reduces the dimples. Right now I’d say the dimples along the front of my hairline are not as pronounced as they were right after surgery but they are still very visible. I wear a scarf when I go out in public or a hat, but I’m careful to be sure the hat does not sit anywhere near my incision line. My scar is healing nicely and I haven’t had any hair loss or shock loss so far. Fingers crossed. I keep the scar clean and dry. The top of my scalp all the way forward to my forehead is completely numb so I have to be careful, no hot styling tools or blow dryers because I wouldn’t feel if it was burning my scalp. That’s a challenge because I can’t straighten my hair. But it’s a small thing. Can’t wait to post again at my 1 month mark and see the progress!

Forehead Reduced Finally!

So I have always had a larger face, which included a larger forehead, but after I started wearing lace front wigs, my hairline receded so badly I couldn’t even wear my real hair anymore. I was trapped wearing wigs forever. Well I stumbled across a girl on ig that had just had forehead reduction surgery and she was blogging about it and her results looked amazing!! She went to a doctor in turkey and her experience looked like it was safe and solid. So I pondered it for a month before reaching out and inquiring with the doctor. His coordinator responded on what’s app and gave me all the details on pricing and what the package included. This was in 2025 in October. She quoted me $8200 and that included pick up from airport, all transportation from hotel to appointments surgeries aftercare and airport again, 7 night stay at 5 star hotel and forehead reduction surgery with stem cell treatment for the scar area. And I could bring a friend at no extra cost. I thought that was amazing. I didn’t want to travel during the holidays so I booked my procedure for Feb 19 of 2026. The price went up in 2026 so it was $8900 but that was fine. I got my bestie to travel with me even though the girl who originally blogged her surgery actually went alone and said it was fine. I’m not that brave so she came with me. When we arrived in Istanbul, the coordinator had sent me a video of exactly where to go to meet with my driver. It was easy to find and I went straight there. The van he picked us up in had led lights all inside, white leather comfy seats, and he was very nice. The drive from the airport to the hotel was about an hour long. We got there and their idea of a 5 star was LaQuinta Inn. It wasn’t bad but it was not a 5 star by any means. Maybe 2.5/3 star hotel. Nonetheless, we stayed, the coordinator told me to be in the lobby at 6:45am the next morning and a driver would bring us to the facility for a preop bloodwork and xray scans. Then I’d meet the dr and have my surgery. So we did and everything went smoothly. It took about 3 hours to compete all preops and to get ready for the suregery. I waited another 3 hours for the doctor to come in and do his consultation. When he came in, he was so warm and humble and just all around genuinely nice, I knew I was in great hands. He looked at my face and told me he wanted to lift my eyebrows a little because they were sagging some and since it wouldn’t require a different incision he’d just throw that in for free!!! When does that ever happen!! I was so happy, he was more concerned with me looking good after suregery than trying to squeeze money out of me. So after they came and got me and wheeled me back, they put a clear fluid into my iv that was supposed to just relax me before the anesthesia. It knocked me out within 5 seconds. I didn’t even remember them getting me fully into the surgical room. I woke up after surgery wrapped and bandaged completely around my head and my legs hurt. While I was under, the doctor did every minimal liposuction on my front thighs and used that fat to do stem cell injections in my head, scar, and even my face!! He said he had extra so might as well inject it.. who does that!! Like this guy was sent from heaven! And he lifted my brows so that they look exactly how they do when I wear a lace front wig and pull it tight. I’m so happy. I will say, this surgery is NO JOKE recovery wise. I am now one day post op and I was in so much pain. I didn’t anticipate it being this taxing. It’s getting better. At the clinic, my price included one overnight stay at the hospital and the nurses kept giving me pain killer in my iv, so I was able to sleep through the night. But the next day, they didn’t give me anything at all until I was discharged at 2pm. I was miserable! They undermedicate you there to be sure you don’t get addicted but geez you suffer. So for anyone thinking about going, I say to bring your own pain pills with you for the day after suregery and take them until they are ready to discharge you. That was the only negative thing I could say about my experience at this point. Me and my friend decided to book a real 5 star hotel for the 3 days that I have nothing to do but get better, so we left our things in the LaQuinta and went to stay at a big beautiful hotel called the Elite World Grand. It’s perfect and upscale and not depressing like LaQuinta. So I’m going to continue to post updates as my journey goes on, but as of now, I am happy with what I can see on my face, even with all of the swelling, I feel like I will get good results. I can’t see the new hairline just yet because it’s still bandaged. Ill return for my last post op appointment on Tuesday where they will remove the bandage and I fly back home to Miami on Wednesday morning. I will post updated pics. Here’s my pics so far
